Default Recommend your 8x8 album here! (Please!)

- What brand?
- Post-bound, Ding, 3ing, strap-bound, etc?
- Is the album a true square, or more rectangle?
- Where do you buy them? And where do you buy the page protectors?
- Any other details?

Link(s) appreciated!

Thanks girlies!

I use American Crafts 8x8" cloth covered albums. I can't remember where I bought mine, but I see them at Amazon. I have 3 in different colors. They hold a lot of layouts. I put 2 per page protector (front/back) and I'm guessing that is about 100-120 layouts per album. I use American Crafts page protectors.

They are 3 Dings. The pages move very smoothly and open flat out. I had post-bound albums before and always had to hold the album open, this one lays open easily.

Here are a couple pics. LOL not the best photos, but you can see the shape of the album (it is rectangle, but holds square 8x8" layouts only. And here it is flat out. I admit, this album wouldn't be perfect for 2 page layouts... there is definitely a big space between the layouts. But I don't scrap 2 pagers typically, so I just wanted something quality and easy to use.

You are suppose to put a pic in the front... but yeah, I haven't yet.

I like the Making Memories 8x8 3 ring... they are hard to find, but they are more on the square side... http://www.amazon.com/Making-Memorie...407173&sr=1-11

Sometimes I can find the pre-made albums... they have premade pages for you to pop your photos in... at places like Big Lots. I just remove those pages (pop off buttons to use on hybrid projects) and use the album/protectors.

Refills I get at Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/Making-Memorie...4407131&sr=8-1
