Canucks...it's election day!
Whatever your party, don't forget to vote today! We might see a brand new Canada after this election!

I'll be going before I have to pick the kids up from school (since I have to work this morning and then have a lunch date).

By the time most of us get to vote in AB, the election results are usually basically decided already, based on solid voting blocks in Ontario and Quebec, but perhaps not this year. Should be interesting!
The kids at school had to do a student vote. My 8 year old told me he was voting for (the Conservative Party candidate). I asked him why. He said that because he's the Stephen Harpers man, and Steven Harper hasn't really done much wrong the last few years. *snort* How interesting that in Canada we seem to vote for who will do the least damage. |

Quote:
Although in our area, the Conservative Party candidate is also our small town's Mayor, so the kids actually "know" him, compared to the four other candidates in our area (NDP, Liberal, Green & Independent).

Actually, this is a wonderfully rational thinking for an 8-year old. I think this is the right way to go about it - too much expectation will lead to disappointment.
