Default Help me help my hubby

My husband is super stressed out. His job has been insanely busy lately, he's been having to deal with a lot of family obligations because of a recent illness with his dad, and this week, he's been sick himself.

I want to do something to cheer him up, but it needs to be simple--something that wont take up his time and add to his stress--something that my kids and I can do to show him how much we appreciate everything he does for our family.

Any ideas?

Can you get into his office while he's out to lunch and decorate it? Everyone draw pictures and write thank you/love you notes and then decorate and leave a bowl of treats for him.

^^that's a cute idea^^

Or you could even decorate your house with thank you notes and have a nice family dinner set up if he doesn't leave work for lunch. I know I often eat at my desk.

Along the same as the other ideas... fave meal and treat him like a king for an evening. Does he have normal chores/tasks around the house that you and the kids can do for him? Like, one time last winter my son went out and shoveled the walk and driveway while my ex was at work, and when he pulled up in the drive from work he was DELIGHTED.

Is there anything he usually does that you can do for him to free up some extra time? Or is there anyway that you and the kids could help out with his father for an afternoon?

Thanks you guys! I thought about doing something at his office, but they recently moved into a new building, and I can't get in easily. Plus, his schedule is always a little wonky, and I'm not sure if he'll be away long enough to do anything sneaky there.

The kids and I ended up going out to get him a few treats--a Blu-Ray, some of his favorite snacks, a gift card, a superman t-shirt, and some fleece to make him a Red Sox blanket. The kids are working on cards for him right now, and we'll package it all up and have it ready for him when he gets home. I hope he'll love it and see how much we appreciate all he does for our family.

That is a great idea! Maybe you can get a sitter and take him out to dinner too-just the two of you

Just showing your appreciation for him and telling him how much you appreciate him will probably go a long ways.
