Default crazy forts

I just ordered two packs of these from Chapters/Indigo for Cormick's present! You can get little clip-in lights for them too, but those are out of stock right now. Like most kids, they're always building forts out of something. He wanted to use my Manfrotto tripod to make one last week lol. So I think this should be a pretty big hit.

Ha, I know, I totally would've loved this as a kid, which heavily influenced my purchase.

I bought my Manfrotto about 7 years ago, so it's an older version of their 055 series. Heavy old beast, but I like its leg locks better than new versions. I want to grab a CF version one of these days for something light when I'm out walking.

I bought this head a couple years later, and I heart it to pieces!

Yeah, I saw a few reviews that complained a bunch about it. But, in the end, I thought the reviews that absolutely raved about it outweighed them. I figure if it has 4 stars after over 100 responses, there's way more happy customers than not. I'll let you know how it works out!

At Chapters there was a 100 and some responses in the ratings... you can choose a rating without doing a review. I dunno, some people were really grumpy about their reviews, but I think some people expect the world when they buy a highly rated product. Like the fort is supposed to assemble itself or something, maybe they wanted magic dust included LOL?... I did hesitate over the written reviews, but I figured it was worth a shot.

We have something similar:
http://www.amazon.com/Cranium-303050...9367355&sr=8-7

They got it 2 years ago so I am not sure if it is still sold in stores.

But we love it!

I would LOVE to buy these for my kids, but I've already blown the budget on them - and we're trying to keep Christmas reasonable.... and they're a little bit young for this anyway. It's DEFINETLY on my list for next year or the year after. Two sets would be wicked! I love building forts too!
