Default Fave Christmas Music Album?

I know... it's still OCTOBER!!! Buuuuut...

I am listening to some holiday music on Spotify right now to get me in the mood to scrap with all these Christmas kits coming up for DSD... and I'm just curious... what's your favorite album? I've already played a few of mine and I'd like to listen to something new.

I just listened to:
Amy Grant - A Christmas Album (my parents always played this so it's sentimental)
John Williams - Home Alone Soundtrack
A Christmas Together - John Denver & The Muppets

this is going to sounds sooooooooo lame, but i absolutely love Hanson's christmas album snowed in. Maybe it speaks to my inner 15 year old. But seriously, their silent night medley is just beautiful. THe kids love the fun songs too. Its one ive played every year for a very long time!

My favorite Christmas album EVER is by Andy Williams. I don't know for sure if he has more than one Christmas album (and I'm too lazy right now to look) but his song "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is among my very favorite Christmas songs. I love Christmas music.

hehe Brook! I'm cracking up because this thread didn't seem AT ALL strange to me til I read your disclaimer about it being october. And I was like, "Oh yeah! Wait a minute! Not everyone else is in the Christmas mood!" I guess that's what happens when you've designed 3 Christmas kits before halloween! LOL

Anyway, my favorite is definitely Straight No Chaser. Honestly though, I'm a Christmas music junkie, so there isn't much I don't like!

Casting Crowns - Peach on Earth
Christmas with the Rat Pack
Harry Connick Jr. - When My Heart Finds Christmas
Kenny Rogers - Christmas Greetings (this one is so old, I had it on 8-track!, but I still LOVE it!)
Sarah McLachlan - Wintersong (so gorgeous!)
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Eve and Other Stories

haha - I just did a layout on Christmas music for NR...

If it has O come, o come, Emmanuel on the CD... you had me at O! I think Enya's version is my fav to date. Also love Amy Grant's Breathe of Heaven.

Every year I buy one CD of Christmas music (the only CD I buy all year). Last year I got She and Him's album... loved it! But I have a total girl crush on Zooey Deschanel... this year I'm looking at Francesca Battistelli's... I'm liking what I hear on the samples...

Bing Crosby--Christmas Classics
Frank Sinatra--Christmas Songs by Sinatra
Amy Grant--Home for Christmas
Trans-Siberian Orchestra--Christmas Eve and Other Stories

These are my favorites of the CDs my parents played while I was growing up.

Oh my goodness - so many good ones! I love Harry Connick Jr's and John Denver and the Muppets as well.

I really love Vanessa Williams (Star Bright), Martina McBride (White Christmas), and Take 6 (they have 2 or three and they are all amazing). But, I have LOADS of Christmas music and couldn't even begin to tell you about all my faves.

I'm a fan of A Very Special Christmas CDs. I also LOVE Amy Grant's Christmas CDs! Willie Nelson's Hill Country Christmas is a good one and so is John Berry's My Heart Is Bethlehem.

Compliation CDs:
Happy Christmas 1 and 2

I LOVE Snowed In by Hanson too! lol. They were my favorite band when I was like 11 years old. Plus, a couple of the songs from that album are on Jack Frost (snowman movie) so it can't get better than that. lol

I also LOVE the Do-Re-Mi Children's Chorus. My brother, sister, and I listened to it every Christmas growing up last year I surprised them with the CDs. We couldn't figure out where the album came from (we had a tape growing up and it has long been lost).. And now my kids absolutely LOVE it. It has "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" it is SOOO fun for kids!

Veggietales Christmas. I especially love the song "The Friendly Beasts". I hate to admit it, but a part of that song makes me sappy! lol (the part with Junior the Asparagus singing)

You can tell I have kids! lol

We have A TON of Christmas music and I love it all (accept Kathy Lee Gifford's lmao!). But, my all-time, absolute favorite is Bing Crosby's White Christmas. Grew up listening to that...watch the movie EVERY year...and it just makes my heart happy.

Some other faves for our family...

Manheim Steamroller
Merry Christmas by Johnny Mathis
Any of Burl Ives' christmas songs

And the twisted, off-color side of us loves...
All the Twisted Christmas albums by Bob Rivers

If you haven't heard the Bob Rivers stuff and want a good laugh, check it out!

So many of my favorites have already been mentioned here, but if you like a capella music, then Tonic Sol Fa's albums are fun.

Greatest Time of Year
