cough,gag, sputter, cough
guess what yoyo didn't hit the popcorn setting and hit a specific minute setting instead for her microwave popcorn?
I may have to open a window and it's 33 degrees outside. I've sprayed with everything I have to bring down the smokey shizzle, have a fan running on high. the inside of the nuke is well, looking a tad brown. this may be one of the dumber, brainless things I've done in a long time color me embarrased. |

I burn popcorn even on the popcorn setting AND standing in front of it. So don't feel too bad
I hope you can clear out the kitchen of smok soon though!

I've banned microwave popcorn for that reason alone. Can't stand the smell, even when it's not burned. Bagged corn all the way!

I've no idea what made me do that. I have always hit that button. I'm guessing I must have hit 5 minutes, because it's what I use to cook the potpies i have for lunch. At least it cleaned up easily enough, lol. I was afraid it wouldn't,lol.

ugh!!!! that is one of the worst smells!!!! and it hangs around!!! burn a candle or put a small pot on the stove (on low) with baking soda in it. That will pull the smell right out of the air. good luck!

Ugh, we tried some JiffyPop over our outdoor fireplace the other day and (of course) burned it. Can you make that stuff without it burning? Anyhow, that smell is SO FOUL! Hope it clears up quickly for you!

yuck...my son once put a styrofoam plate in the microwave with crackers and cheese I think. I have never seen smoke so black in my life bfore. That is when we figured out styrofoam and microwaves do not work....well I already knew it but it didnt dawn on me it was styrofoam he was using. It was nasty. Another one of my kids tried to cook a chocolate chip cookie in the microwave. He said it said to heat them in the microwave on the package. Well yea for like 15 seconds not five minutes!! Amazingly enough our microwave still works LOL.

At least you didn't have to call the fire department. Maybe someday I'll tell you the story of setting my oven on fire
I'm glad it cleaned up easily, Brooke! |
