Default Bedtime Stories and Slumdog Millionare...

are on their way to me NOW from Netflix!

Without telling me any spoilers...are these both pretty good movies? I've heard a lot of good things about Slumdog...

Slumdog is AWESOME!!!

Bedtime Stories was good - DS9 loved it, I liked it. I think it could've been so much better, but I liked it! And that's saying a lot because I don't like Adam Sandler at all.

Just watched Bedtime Stories last night and loved it. My FIL who hates Adam Sandler actually loved the movie.

Ok good because lately our movie experience has sucked!

Stranger Than Fiction - suck
Beowulf - suck
Leatherheads - suck
The Bucket List - pretty much sucked
Zack and Miri Make a Porno - two thumbs up
Lions For Lambs - didn't even watch

I really need a couple of great movies to break up the suckage monotony.

Didnt see Slumdog Millionaire and probably wont. It does not seem interesting to me. I kinda thought Bedtime Stories will be stupid but my 11 y/o wanted to see it really badly so we rented it and it was actually really funny. I enjoyed it. I do typically enjoy Adam Sandler though because he is so funny. I think Ive only seen one of his movies that I did not like. I would recomend it and especially if you have kids. They will be laughing through the whole thing

Oh man, Mandy - Stranger than Fiction is one of my favorite movies recently. We recommend it to everyone LOL

But I didn't even bother with the rest of those.

here are some we have watched recently that were pretty good

Smokejumper
Eagle Eye
The Man Who Came Back (western) but really flipping awesome!!
The Boy In the Striped Pajamaseally good but really, really sad!! It is a wwII movie about a boy in a concentration camp
Edges Of the Lord-Also a good movie...another sad one
Bedtime Storieseally funny
Lucky Ones-kinda bad acting but it was not a horrible movie
Flash Of Genius-about a guy who invents the intermittent windsheild wiper and has the idea stolen by one of the big three car companies. An underdog story that will really have you rooting for him!!

Thanks Jessica.
Sorry Darcy but I just couldn't get thru it. The first 30-45 minutes were ok, I thought it would be a lot funnier than it was, but then after that I just couldn't take the boredom anymore. I actually left the room and I never do that with a movie.

Haven't seen Slumdog yet. Its on its way to me via Netflix. But as a family we watched Betdime Stories on friday night (me, dh, ds3 and ds7) and we all LOVED it. I'm a big Sandler fan and he was great. And the movie was totally kid/family-friendly which was nice.
We want to buy it, it was so good.

I loved Slumdog, at first it took me a little while to figure out what was going on but it turned out to be an awesome movie.

I loved Bedtime Stories too. Very cute kids movie.

We all watched Bedtime Stories last night, it was very funny! I prefer Adam Sandler in more "serious" roles, but this was definitely worth watching!

And put me down as a fan of Stranger Than Fiction. Andrew and I watched that one some time ago, I loved it! I think it's the first time I watched Will Ferrel and didn't want to scratch out my eyes in the process.

DH and I went and saw Stranger Than Fiction when it first came out in theaters, we both HATED it. I can't stand Will Ferrel and I thought they showed all the funny parts in the trailers/previews, so the rest was just blah.
