Default Hi!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the digital scrapping world and even though I am totally lost on how this all works, I am having a blast with all my screw ups. My hubby bought me PSE 10 for mothers day and I finally cracked it open last night. I have yet to create a page but I'm a pro at installing styles thanks to you all

Anyhoo...I've been a paper scrapper for over 10 years, have my own scrapbook room and everything (tons of stuff). I don't know why I have to add digital to the whole mix..Probably because I am totally INSANE and have a "gotta do it, own, play with it, have everything related to paper crafting complex. I'm actually having flash backs to when I played with my first rubber stamp and what a mess that turned into My whole intention was to buy some digital kits and use the print and cut feature with my silhouette for paper crafting projects. But now It's turned into a full blown gotta have PSE so I can play with my pictures and graphics, gotta buy more kits because I can't have just one...INSANE.

Aside from my crazy way of thinking/collecting complex I really am excited to dive in, learn the program and start creating. I especially like that all I have to tote around is my laptop. I can play anywhere and not have to pull out a bunch of crap. Seriously, I am one of those crazy ladies that brings in 4-5 rolling totes of junk when I go to a crop...so over it! It's gonna be funny the next time I go and all I have is my laptop

Looking forward to hanging out, getting to know people, and becoming a pro at this whole digi thing!
~Annie

PS
Thanks Robin for fixing my account so that I can post in the forums!

Hi there! Welcome to Sweet Shoppe!! I'm a former paper scrapper, too. Had the massive room filled to the brim with goodies. Thought I'd "just try" digi back in 2006... I haven't done a paper page since then! LOL

Hope you love it here as much as we do!

Welcome, Annie! Yay, a paper scrapper gone digi! I started paper scrapping in 1995, back when the industry was just getting started. I still do some hybrid layouts using print and cut with my Silhouette, but I must say once I get everything positioned on the paper I really wish it was an all digital layout - gluing everything in place is my least favorite part!

Be sure to check out the tutorials section of the site - it's full of great tips & tricks!

Welcome Annie! You sound a lot like me. I still have a bunch of my paper stuff and occasionally use some of it, but it is a pain to take out and put back in. I love that all my digi stuff is on my computer-makes it so much easier.

Welcome Annie! I think we can all sympathize with the "collecting" part...most of us just do it on our hard drives :P I started out with paper too, then moved to digi, and now I am moving on to mixed media, so I have collected a lot of digital and physical stuff along the way!

Also, the good thing about digital is that it is generally cheaper, if you can resist buying everything new that comes out, at least! It is hard with all the great designers here though!

Welcome! You're going to really enjoy the digital side of scrapping I paper scrapped for years too, then did both for a year, then finally put ALL my paper stuff away. I've been exclusively digital for about... 7 years maybe?

Welcome Annie!! You know I started just to make a gift for my daughter's 16th birthday when she was just a little over 15. She is almost 21. Yep almost 6 years And I think pretty much everyone here has the same collecting kits problem LOL You'll love it here though. It is the best place on the web for digi-scrapping!!

HaHa! bi-scraptual lol...I am so going to steal that one. Only problem is in my world (family friends) no one would know what the heck I was talking about lol. I have to go hunt down crops just to find people who understand my madness!

Thanks for being so friendly everyone. I'm finding that this learning stuff is not as easy as I thought it would be. I'm hoping if I bang keys long enough something will magically happen, It works with other electronics anyway...
