Internet safety software?
I'm thinking about moving one of our computers into my son's room and getting another desktop for our other son. They're 11 and 13 and are getting to the point where they have homework on the computer and have games that they like to play with their friends online. I'm okay with them having computers in their rooms as long as I can figure out how to easily control when they can use them and which programs / websites they can access.
Does anyone use this kind of software? TIA! |

I'm about to start, too. My oldest is 9 and just starting to want to do Google searches and venture beyond the websites we've put in the kids' favorites list. I noticed that Norton has something to protect kids online. I'm hoping to look into it more this week, but I think it was free. If I'm right about that, I don't know if it's free to everyone or just people who subscribe to other Norton products (we have Norton 360).

We use netnanny...I had a promo code for 25/year..it's regularly $40 and I'd def pay that for peace of mind. You can get 3 computers covered for $60 which is a good deal I think

We have loved OpenDNS. It's very customizable and free.

I remember net nanny really slowed down the computer, but that was about 6 years ago.
