Default Is it just me...

That gets slightly insulted when people ask what app I dropped my pictures into to make the scrapbook pages I'm always posting? I can't stand it! It takes so much more time and effort than "dropping a picture in"

Oh wow, I never get asked that. I think it would drive me nuts - or possibly make me feel all gloat-y that I can say it was me lol.

I've never heard that one! It would be kind of insulting for someone to think they can do the same thing just by using an app!

yeah... ... and with all the photo apps...

Back a few years, when I had a scrap for other business, people would be like - "so, you dropped your photos into a Shutterfly book to make your books?" Uhm... no - I designed it... ME!

People just don't get it, do they?

I haven't got that question, but people have asked where I bought the pages I put my pictures in. Argh. They are just clueless. I used to be that way too before I discovered digiscrapping, so I guess I can't be too upset!

Oh - and if they asked me what app I used, I'd probably link them up to Photoshop LOL!

Oh boy, I haven't heard that one yet, but I'd get pretty miffed too.
I think that's just as bad as when Digital first started showing up and Paper Scrappers would turn their noses up saying the digi pages weren't any work at all in comparison to paper. Do we save time with Digital probably, but for me it's NOT on the creation of the page.... in fact I think Digi may take me longer, the time saver is in not having to clean up a huge mess to be able to get to another page! LOL Thank Goodness digi grew and scrappers of both kinds became more aware LOL

Yeah, I've not been asked that but I get just as annoyed when people say, "oh, that's such a great digi page!" or, "That looks SO real!!" Well....IT IS REAL!

I've never been asked that, but it really bugs me when people ooh and aah over some of my photos and then ask what camera I use... as if it were the camera and not my eye that is responsible for the creative shot. I get that a LOT.

Haha I havent had this one yet, although when I used to be on forums making signatures using scrap kits people would often ask me "what do you use to make those?" as if it's just as simple as downloading a program to do it for you. I just replied with "photoshop" and a couple of times, people have come back to me saying they've now got Photoshop, what do they do next.... UM I am not talking you through the whole thing. Nobody was there to teach me, I practiced and fiddled around & scoured the internet for tutorials until I got it! Some people

It would probably annoy me a bit, but on the other hand, I kind of wish there WAS an app that would make it so easy. I'd be caught up in a snap!

We have a Facebook group for our neighborhood, and there have been a few people who have asked if anyone in the neighborhood does digital scrapbooking, what program do you use, how do you get started, etc. And, then half the neighborhood comes along and says that they do digital scrapbooking and they use the Project Life app or Shutterfly, etc. And, I guess, in the strictest sense of the word, that IS digital scrapbooking, but it doesn't come close to the amount of effort that goes into the kind of digi that I'm addicted to.

I just stay out of those conversations. Lol.
