Stocking stuffers
I think I ask this every year, what kinds of stocking stuffer do you get for your hubbies?
We set a limit on gifts every year and since we bought anew house, we did half our normal Christmas budget for each other. I need some good, cheap idea, I have like $20 left in my budget for stocking stuffers. |

The kids do the Stockings for their Dad and I..... well, I show them things Dad uses on a regular basis that's on my general shopping list to restock anyway, and they think they do good by deciding "yes I will get him that" on their own. LOL
With that said it's usually things from the dollar store.... tooth picks, new toothbrush, deodorant, his favorite candy, ice scraper, any kind of camo/blaze orange outer wear, gloves, shave cream, razors, etc...... again since it's all mostly stuff off my regular shopping list it doesn't eat into my holiday shopping budget. |

We don't really do stockings for each other at home, but for my mom's side of the family- we do ONLY stockings for the adults. Few things I've done in the past- toothbrushes (I'm a hygienist so I get them from work! ), Scratch tickets, airline liquor bottles, candy, playing cards or small card game, nail polish, earrings, sample size cologne/perfume.

Every year for Aaron's stocking he gets things like:
A few tiny sample bottles of rum, sherry, whiskey, etc (I get them from the local liquor store), a cigar, summer sausage, jerky, favorite hot sauce, wool/warm socks, boxers, jelly belly jelly beans, whoppers, toothbrush, t-shirt (wrapped up), orange in the toe. That varies a bit year to year but that's basically the stuff he likes best. I think if you're on a tight budget just get the things he loves the most and don't waste it on things like toothbrushes. |

We don't exchange, but this year I had to spend $20 and get him a three pound Hershey bar 'cause, ya know, it's a three pound Hershey bar! ha ha

I have no suggestions because I don't do a stocking for the hubby but I just wanted to say how relieved I am that I'm not the only one who puts new toothbrushes in the stockings each year. I think I am the only one I know personally who does that.

no hubby but I have a 20 year old son (literally as of yesterday, still getting used to saying '20') and I do the obligatory underwear and socks (it's become a joke) as well as favourite chocolate, body wash, gift card for liquor store (or small bottle), gift card for coffee place/SubWay etc. I do a "Santa bag" which is just a gift bag rather than a stocking.

The past two years I have gotten Duluth Trading Company 'Buck Naked' underwear. They are his favorite and not cheap, so a couple of pairs is what he gets.
