Default Photobooks: How Many Pages?

So I was nosing around the forum, and saw that someone said they had a photobook with 150 pages, and got me wondering what the average is for pages you print in your photobooks? After the thread I started yesterday, I have decided to do our 2012 in photobook style (actually got the pages made for all of January today! Yaya!) and wast thinking about doing a January-April, then May (thru summer) then August-December. No idea how many pages those will each be though. So yea, how many pages do you typically like for your photobooks to have?

AND Shutterfly question: If photobooks are half off, are the additional pages going to be half off as well or no?

This should be my last topic the weekend, I seem to have started several threads lol. (not used to having so much computer time!)

I print a full year for my girls albums. That can range anywhere from 140 to 180 pages each. It depends on how much I've scrapped. I'm printing with Viovio this year (first time), and with them I can have up to 200 pages per album.

I've not used shutterfly before, so sorry I can't answer that question.

I like my shutterfly albums to be approx 75 pages. I have done up to 95 pages as well (max with shutterfly is 100).

I print by project, so depending on how pages end up in being in say December Daily or a vacation album determines where I go to print. I *think* shutterfly, once you build the book and add pages, it is 50% off the full album... the reason I say I think is that I always have multiple coupons applied, so I never really figured it out how much the actual album costs before.... I love that you can stack coupons at Shutterfly...

I usually just print one photo book, but this year mine was quite a bit longer because of Project Life.

You can see my pages on this thread: https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...hoto+book+2012

I think Shutterfly books can be like 115 pages now... My books are each about an inch thick. They are so pretty and wonderful. You need to get them printed and in your hands.

Oh and yes, they take 50% off the entire cost of the album. There shipping charges are usually pretty high though, so be sure to search for a free shipping coupon. You can find one of those post of the time and save yourself like $15.

Ooh, I just double checked with Viovio, and I can have up to 300 pages or more. Just as well too, because the album I'm uploading now has 245 photos, and the other has 190 so far. That's just for 2011.

Generally mine are either project sized (37 pages for Journal Your Christmas, 20 pages for week in the life) or as many pages as I can afford otherwise. I tend to print photo oriented books with Blurb, which is pricy so I try to keep them to less than 80 pages as I like the hard cover books. Or I use Viovio or the now defunct Inkubook for mostly layout books with softcovers & I've gone as many as 120 pages or as few as 37. The couple of Shutterfly books I have made were both under 50.

Thanks for all the feedback!
I've never heard of Viovio before today. Just looked and they seem kinda pricey, eh? Or do they have deals the way Shutterfly does?

Viovio is a lot cheaper than shutterfly.

Thats who i use, i switched from shutterfly. You can get a quick quote at viovio to see how much your book would cost.

Yes, viovio is one of the cheapest I believe! And I prefer them over shutterfly. My books average about 130 for an entire year!

http://www.viovio.com/wiki/Product+Catalog

The quote thing is onthis page. Be sure you select the square books.

My last 2 books where about $80 each, for like 130 pages, 8.5x8.5. W/ matte cover & perfect bound.

I thought 245 was a lot. It was. Viovio had duplicated photos from one of my albums to another. I had to delete a lot. Once I'd done that I was down to about 150 pages per album. That's better. Phew.

Oh see I didn't notice that thing at first - I was thinking the base price was what was stated but that was included the 20 pages lol. So yeah, that makes it much better

I have printed at Shutterfly and Inkubook and I actually like them both equally, but I only print when I have a coupon and my daughters senior album was 135 pages front and back=270 and it is pretty amazing!
