Default 30 Days of Thanks - November 10th

Today I donated some blood. Or at least I tried... all they were able to get was one bag and it took 45 min of trying to poke me into both arms. It hurt like hell when she was moving the needle around to try to make it flow better. I felt my whole body getting cold and was so close to passing out. So today I'm thankful that it goes so smoothly for most other people and that they are able to help save lives. That was not the experience I wanted. I even drank so much water but it didn't help.

today I am thankful that I finally have my appointment with the Osteopath. I haven't seen her in a year due to my surgery and then COVID lockdown. I have been on the waitlist for months, today is finally the day.

I am also thankful that I have benefits through my employer that cover this appointment.

Today I am thankful I have a teen driver that can take his brother to school on Wednesday mornings so I can make it to my bible study early enough to be a door host...It is a blessing to greet the ladies as they come in to study.

Today I am thankful for naps. As someone who doesn't get enough sleep, there are days, like today, when naps are my favorite thing. Being able to fall asleep in front of the TV for 30 minutes can make a big difference for me sometimes.

I'm late posting this, but my gratitude for the 10th is ... I am grateful that my health insurance APPROVED my cataract surgeries and they're covering both eyes at 100%! Of course, that's because we met my out-of-pocket maximum before the 5th of January - I was in the critical care unit Jan 1-5 with COVID pneumonia - but it's something to be grateful for!

And as a double gratitude, my husband shocked my socks off and said to upgrade to the top level multifocal implant (holy crap!) despite the expense. I'll be able to see clearly at near, mid, and far distance, and it will fix my astigmatism. No more glasses for me, at all!

November 29 and December 6 ... I'm so excited, and so very thankful!
