Default Do You Think If We Met

in real life along the way, I mean just bumped into each other somewhere random, that we would recognize our SSD friends? I'd like to think I would know most of you, but there are a couple I'm not sure I would!

Depends how similar people look to their profile picture and how often they post photos of themselves here! When scrappers meet up and post photos on FB, sometimes I recognize everyone right away and other times I have to look at the names.

I think definitely for some people but maybe not everyone. I think I'd recognize kiddos though!

Maybe. I would love that to happen at least once in my life though... Long shot, because most of you are in different continents.

I don't think I'd recognize anyone b/c I just wouldn't be expecting it. I never meet any other digi scrappers IRL. Would be fun though. I know lots of paper scrappers in my area but none of them are digi.

I actually realized I lived literally a few blocks away from a scrapper on here! It would have been cool to meet, but I was too shy to suggest it :/ I hate that about me lol. Should have met another scrapper friend, but it seemed like I had forever to do it, then ended up moving a lot sooner than expected and it never happened. I was really sad about missing that chance.

However, if I randomly bumped into someone, I would probably recognize kiddos before the scrapper Since we mostly scrap our kids.

I'd recognize the kiddos too but probably not too many of the actual ladies scrapping the pages!

Yes! I have met many people from SDD and when I saw them it was so freaky how they were exactly what I thought they would look like.

Robin and Cindy met me at the airport in Vegas and when I saw them across the room I knew it was them. It DID help that they were staring at me and waving. Haha

I think I would recognise alot of people who have shown their faces here, but I would be so surprised since 99% of you live on the other side of the world! Being shy I'd probably be too scared to say hello just in case I was wrong! If you were with your kids and that matched what I know of you from your LOs I'd be much more confident though.

It would be very cool to see someone in real life - I don't know of anyone else from my city of 4 million who hangs out here!

I know, right?? With some of us having sunglasses on and such, I don't think I would ever know who they were! And I don't know if I'd ever have recognized Meghan! Glad she finally posted a picture of her pretty face on the staff page! That's a rarity!

I would recognize anyone if they looked like in their pictures. I have a thing for faces -- it's like some built-in face recognition feature haha
it has happened to me before -- to recognize people in the street who I had only seen on Facebook before that and to say hi to them
Buuut, the sad truth is not a lot of scrapping friends live nearby, the only one who I know is from my country is Blagovesta. I am not aware if there's another scrapper from Bulgaria who hangs here. If there is - don't be shy and do say hiiii.

Yeah I guess so too. Maybe some but not all, especially for those of us who love to scrap or kids' photos, I would definitely recognize some of them, or for those of us who love to scrap a selfie.

I'm like Rae that I would probably not recognize anyone because I would just not expect it and if I did I would assume I was wrong because you know, what are the chances
Would be fun though!

This is fun, I would definitely recognize people but I wouldn't approach anyone unless they recognized me too. I did meet up with a group of paper scrappers who up until the time of the crop I had only known online. I was terrified about this very topic until I got there. It was a trip out of country, it was the first time in my life I had ever gone anywhere alone (like not even the grocery store and here I was travelling alone)and it was the first time meeting all these scrappers face to face. My anxiety level about getting there and wondering if I would recognize the person picking me up from the ferry (and if they would recognize me) was through the roof!!! I was fine after that moment of getting to my destination and knowing I was with the right people lol

I think I'd recognize a few of you IF I was expecting to. However, I would refer to you as your screen name.

I think I may recognize some people, but not expecting it would be the kicker. I met up with some scrapping friends during a trip out to Cali a few years ago - it was so fun!
A few years before that I met up with some other Keith Urban fans that I'd never met in my life - I flew to TN and met them at a hotel we were all staying at - several of us in one suite ... it sounds totally crazy now thinking back on it - I don't think I'd do that today!! LOL!

No way?! That is too funny!

I think I'd definitely recognize most of you....especially the kids. I feel like I've watched them all grow up....like an "honorary auntie." Haha!

Isn't that fun? I love how I can instantly know which page belongs to a certain scrapper because I recognize the kiddos or hubby.

Yes!! haha... When I first met Robin she said, "You look just like your avatar!" I never thought about that before, that picture might look different than the person in real life...

I think I would be very clueless in recognizing someone from on-line... I would think, hey, that person looks just like <insert name>. There is a lady, Gretchen, that lives in this area that looks JUST like HeatherGW... I mean, it's uncanny!! I've met HeatherGW a few times... and I still do a double take when I see Gretchen. haha.

I'd like to think I'd recognize them. Scrappy friend meet ups are so fun! I met up with a digi scrapper when I visited my son in Atlanta in November. And I went to a scrapping convention in Utah last March and met a bunch of scrappers. I'd love to plan a digi scrapper meet up!!! Anyone else willing to travel somewhere to meet up (in the US please)! Other countries will have to plan your own meet ups!!

I think most would recognize me, but me on the other side of the coin, not sure...depends, kiddos more than the scrapper, sadly...as I'm sure most of you would recognize my 2 1/2 year old because of the infamous mohawk he'll forever be doomed with as far as we're concerned.

I've met up with lots of digital scrappers IRL, and it's always fun to see if they look (and act) like how they do in the forums.

I would recognize most scrappers if they had their kids with them.

I was thinking this the other day. Like many had said, I'd probably recognize their kid/s before recognizing the scrapper. Some I think I might recognize if they do a lot of all about me pages.

I get stopped and recognized by people from my local groups all of the time. My mom hates going anywhere with me and my husband just finds it funny.

Now I think I would recognize some of you that I have seen for a long time. Maybe. lol! What would probably happen is I would recognize you and stare at you creepily as I run through all of the ways that I could know you trying to figure out WHY I am recognizing you. (Trust me, it happens often.)

Hahahaha this made me think of you, I always know your daughter straight away. I recognize a lot of people's kids. I agree it would be easier to recognize the kids first, but I think I would know a lot of you if I ran into you in person.

That said, who is it that lives near me? I think Krystal....nope just looked and she is not close to Houston. No chance of running into her then!

I definitely recognize people's pages by their kids. Not too many people on here from Canada either though. That and even if people are also from Canada doesn't put them anywhere close.

I would be more likely to recognize someone I'm friends with on fb and posts a lot of pics. Or that I've known a long time. Or that I've met before.

But I probably wouldn't approach you because I'd have convinced myself that you would have no clue who I am.

First off, Jacinda looks just like her avatar having met her in person.

I'm lucky to be able to meet up with fellow scrappers all the time so don't think twice about it anymore. But I remember the first time it was a little scary wondering if they would like me.

Well, is VERY UNLIKELY for me to bump into any of you... LOL
But some years ago when I travel to the US used to post it on the forums and I`ve met a couple of digi friends.

Also this one time (at band camp... LOL)... no seriously I went to the Craft and Hobby Association Show in Chicago a few years ago and I met a few scrappers.

Funny story... I was talking to someone in a stand and at some point I said that I do digital scrapbooking and a very tall and very blond lady told me "Do you do digi?" and when I saw the name in the name tag I literally screamed... I know you, I know you... because she was a digi friend from another forum.

Also, Traci's not kidding about knowing kids. She noticed that my daughter and Juli's really do resemble each other. (Before we even thought of it)
