Default Sweet Mail Exchange - Inspiration Board

Hi Ladies!

I received a couple questions on where to start when creating snail mail, so I put together the tips you see below and will migrate all the links and inspiration from around the forum into this one thread. I'll also be adding new images as I stumble across them, so please feel free to share inspiring photos too!

Here is a preview of the second tutorial . . . scroll down for all the images:

Here is the first tutorial . . . detailed list of materials are available here.

Your happy mails are super cute! A question though. In the portfolio rules it's stated that we must use primarily SSD products to complete the challenges. Does that mean that if I'm doing this as part of my portfolio I must compose my mail of primarily printed stuff from kits by SSD designers?

Yes Hanna - the idea behind the Portfolio is to incorporate SSD products. So it would be like any other hybrid project. You would want to feature SSD product by printing them and incorporating them in to your mail art. It doesn't all have to be SSD, but it should be obvious that you used SSD products (papers or cut out embellishments).

I hope that helps!

Hanna - I wanted to also say that we have some great templates and cutting files in the store and using those would also count towards using SSD products.

For those of you that have done the mail exchange before...what do you usually send? A card and some fun things for your mail buddy to play with themselves? Just trying to be sure I'm doing this right. Feeling a little unsure.

Oh no! I didn't But I would hold off on sending anything else . . . you never know, some things just arrive super late!

I was actually waiting to hear back from you before I sent yours out, so it's been ready to go haha . . . My post office trip is on Wednesday and I can shoot over the customs form number so you can have for your records . . . My bf and I have sent several packages to Malaysia with no problems so I feel good about this one!
