Default Using up those paper scraps

Like many people, I took a break from paper scrapping once I discovered digital supplies, but since I've started working on Hybrid projects, my pile of paper scraps is getting a little out of control.

Do you guys save your scraps? If so, what kind of projects have you been doing to use them all up?

I let my kids use all my paper scraps now. I used to think I'd get around to using them, but 2 years later they're still sitting there, so it goes into the kids paper drawer now.

I actually just cleaned mine out this weekend and donating them to a local hospital. But I used to punch a lot of shapes like butterflies and circles etc. that I could have used for other projects like cards and 3d projects.

Most of the time for hybrid, I cram so much on a page that I don't have much in scraps... otherwise... My kiddo gets them... he loves playing around with my punches from my traditional paper days... and it helps build strength in his fingers for handwriting. Then from those shapes, he makes up matching games or he glues them on his art work.

I wish I lived closer to my nieces and nephews But I really like the idea of donating to children's programs at the hospital . . . How do you go about that? What kind of supplies would be appropriate?

Also don't forgot the domestic abuse houses, adult centers, and preschools... they are always looking for craft supplies...

Actually my friend works with the pre-term babies and they make name tags for the babies...she tells me it really is very special to the parents and it makes me happy to think they will make someone else's day.

That's so cool, Mari!!! I might have to look into that... it would be fun to make tags that they can personalize... never even thought of doing that

I usually just hand them over to my kids... but I do have something like this in mind for some of my scraps of favorite patterns. I have a BIG canvas just waiting for paper triangles.

You can just "glue" the paper scraps to the plain canvas using Acrylic Matte Medium.

I hate scraps, I never ever use them again so when I'm done making a project it all goes in the bin!
