Default A nosy question for the sugarbabes....

Sooo.....when you became a sugarbabe....what did you do with all of the money you saved from not needing to purchase your SSD stuff? See, I pretty much only spend my money here so if I were ever a sugarbabe, my "play money" would be sitting there lonely! Some months I spend very little, other months I spend a lot, but it's all here...

I havent been shopping for kits too - but all my budget for scrap money last year went into printing LOs (I didnt print for almost 3 yrs - imagine!!!!) and ordering photobooks and prints and buying albums. LOL.

This year I haven't got any budget for scrap stuff but I still get to scrap with the best stuff in town

well, I was never one with a huge budget and only pick up things here and there when I had 40% off or a GC...so I unfortunately don't have an extra pile of money now, lmbo! I really just don't shop anymore. I have been buying lots of books lately though....I tihnk I have bought 10 in the last month. lol! Though I am scrapping so much I don't have time to read them,

Pretty much what has already been said...

I spend too much at Target
I am catching up on printing books
and I only buy the occasional kit elsewhere

I just bought some kits for the first time in a while...I try not to because if I don't use them up within a day or so of my purchase, I usually forget or lose inspiration. I really need to catch up on my printing though. I have over 200 pages still to print.

Same here. It's not very often that I shop anywhere else anymore, and all that money (which was a sizable chunk) now goes to hybrid supplies ($65 or so in ink every 6 months or so), or just random stuff that I buy, lol. I didn't have a "scrap budget" or "play money" so it just goes elsewhere now.

I haven't bought a kit in AGES. For some reason, I get easily disappointed now, so I stopped buying.

I never had a scrap budget or play money - so it just goes other places.

Well, I haven't been a Babe for too long yet, but I never have a problem spending money! It's just reouted to IRL stuff now (Target, etc.)!

Well I've always had a scrap budget that I keep careful track of (I have a spreadsheet and everything ), but I never really spent more here than I did anywhere else. If anything being a Babe has allowed me to use a lot more stuff from here that I loved but would have been too cheap to buy.

But I also buy a lot less scrap supplies overall now because 1) after 3+ years of scrapping I've gotten better at only buying what I know I'll use and 2) I can almost always find something here that will work for whatever I need. I almost never buy kits anywhere else because I'd rather use the ones here first. I do still have a scrap budget but it goes more towards printing, software, classes, hybrid, fonts, etc.

I agree with the others... most of my scrap money now should go to printing... I buy a little here and there, but when you get the best there is, there is no need to shop anywhere else!! These designers are TOTALLY FANTASTIC!!

I agree with the other Babes, I don't get kits anywhere else. Before I started designing, I was on several promenent and store CTs, so I've seen a lot of product if you know what I mean. And the Sweet Shoppe just has awesome quality and creativity that I don't need to go elsewhere for kits. The kits are so incredibly easy to scrap with and bring my memories to life. So, to answer your question, my money saved goes toward making more memories to scrap. (saving for a vacation! LOL)

Im pretty much in the same boat as all the other babes. Until recently we were a single income family so there was never bundles of cash flying around.
I need to look at these printing places though coz the results look amazing! Maybe I need to get a scrapping budget now I get a bit of a salary and go with the babe flow!
I rarely scrap with anything non SSD - The store has everything I need and love and the quality I've come to expect.

Obviously I haven't been here long, but since I started my other store CT I have hardly shopped at all, I only buy stuff if it's something very unique and it's on sale And now that I'm here, I think that will probably be never

I never really had a budget, but I have been putting a bit of money away now and then into a savings account, money that I probably would have spent on scrap stuff, and a few weeks ago I was able to by a 50mm 1.4 lens for my camera (OK, so I spent a bit more than what was in the savings account, but who's counting?) which I have been wanting for ages.

Same here - I don't really buy any other kits as I find what I need here. Like was said before, I have been scrapping for quite a long time and I find myself picky about what I want to spend my monies on - so I don't really buy any other kits anymore. Just seems better to try and save it or use it to do something fun with my family.

I am constantly having to replenish my glue, card, inks and paper for printing - plus all the cute glittery, pretty bits 'n bobs that I am too weak to resist! Fortunately, I don't have to fib quite as badly to my DH about my spending now
