Can I just share this?

One of my friends' brother is one of a team of runners, from UK and US who are running across the USA to raise money for 3 charities to support injured soldiers. The aim is to raise £1 million for the charities!

They are starting in New York on the 10th September and will reach Santa Monica on the 11th November. I've loved following it on FB for the past few months and reading about the training etc, and I'm looking forward to following their progress as they run(the team leader is doing his bit on a hand bike as he had an injury a few months ago!!)!

Gemma I listened to an interview with one of the guys on Radio 2 the other week, I think it was the Steve Wright show and it sounded so difficult what they are going to do but so fantastic

That is awesome! I "liked" their FB page so I'll keep up with what we're doing.
3 west point cadets who just finished their required services biked (like on bicycles) from Maine to San Francisco this summer. It was amazing to follow their ride. They donated all proceeds from merchandise sales and all donations to the Wound Warrior Project (which is similar to all the charities that this group is donating to I believe). Very very worthy cause. I donate to WWP every year. It's SO important to take care of our vets.
