Default Problems Posting To Challenge Portfolio

I've tried posting and edting my portfolio for the May Challenge, but can't get my image to show up. I posted it to the gallery, right clicked and selected copy shortcut. I then went to my portfolio clicked on insert image and pasted the link. It only shows up as a tiny square with a red X in the middle. Did I do something wrong? Help please!

I'm probably no help, but it sometimes happens to me, but after a few hours or even a day or 2 the image will appear!

I think the reason might be that you copied the url to your gallery page instead of the url to the photo. I checked your link in the portfolio thread and it links to: https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...p?photo=134130
Try linking it to: https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...oTheWorld2.jpg
and see if that solves the problem(you get the link to the photo by right clicking the photo, not the url you see in the adress bar) Hope that helps?

Yeah, you want to copy image location, not copy shortcut. So the link will be what Kristin posted

You can always put the code in by hand, rather than insert image.

Just type in [img*]link to your image.jpg[*/img]

Just take out the * in the code I just posted to get it to work.

yeah it doesn't work for that link b/c you copied it instead of copy link location..which browser are you using? If you are using IE go to properties and copy the url for the image. in Firefox just copy image location then use the mountain thingy to plug in the url. Don't use just the copy function.

I fixed your post for you

I think you are getting closer though If you copied and pasted it directly from the link I wrote it seems to produce some kind of shortcut so the link shows up like:
Code:
https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/...oTheWorld2.jpg
(with the dots....inlcuded) and it takes you to a 404 page(Not found)
The link should be:
Code:
https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/data/625/WelcomeToTheWorld2.jpg
