Default homemade ice cream recipes??

I've been searching for a good homemade pineapple ice cream recipe (because I lost the really good one that I had ) and in searching I've run across alot of recipes.

Does anyone have any tried and true, knock your socks off ice cream recipes that they are willing to share??? I need to make 3 buckets by Wednesday for our July 4th celebration at church.

THANK YOU!!!!

It doesn't have to be pineapple I would also just love to build my recipe collection up because making ice cream is something special I do with my kids in the summertime and I really don't like the mixes as much. so I would love to have that one too please???

I just made an awesome Peanut Butter Ice Cream for Father's Day:
12 oz jar chunky peanut butter
1 1/2 qts half and half
6 large eggs
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 c whole milk
1 T vanilla extract
2 c sugar
3 T flour

Cook the peanut butter, 2 c half and half, and the eggs in a Dutch oven over low heat, whisking constantly, for 7 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160F. Whisk in the remaining 4 c half and half, condensed milk, whole milk, and vanilla. Combine the sugar and flour, whisk into the hot custard until the sugar has dissolved. Pour the mixture into the freezer container of a 5 qt hand turned or electric freezer. Freeze according to package directions. We put it in the freezer over night and it was AWESOME!!!

OK this makes a great single serving for a bigger kid or two servings for small kids!! My kids (10, 6 and 3) can make this all by themselves and they have a ball doing it!! We have aslo been known to throw frozen fruit in it, chocolate chips, crushed up cookies, m&m's.....you name it we throw it in there!!!

What you need:
1 cup milk or half & half
2TBS sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
6 TBSP rock salt
1 pint size Ziplock sandwich bag
1 gallon size Ziploc bag
Ice cubes

How to make it:
1. Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
2. Put milk, vanilla and sugar in the small bag, and seal it.
3. Place the small bag inside the large one and seal again carefully.
4. Shake until mixture is ice cream, about 5 miuntes.
5. Wipe off top of small bag, then open carefully and enjoy!!!
