Default Need cool toys for a 6 yr old boy...

Yes my son is 6 so I should be able to come with something on my own, but we're going to a birthday party in a couple weeks for "the kid who has everything". I would love to find something unique to get him. Somewhere in the $20-$25 range. Anyone have any cool sites they've bought from or seen recently?

have you checked on etsy? Or maybe instead of a toy you could buy him a gift certificate/card to a thing he can do. Like here in Orlando we have the science center which most kids find to be so much fun. I think there is science center in Tampa too? Then there is that place on International Drive where the upside down building is? Gosh I cant remember what it is called now. But I know there is some stuff over in Tampa which is alot of fun to do. Little boys usually love stuff like remote control cars. My sons could never get enough of building stuff like K-nex, Lincoln Logs and legos. There used to be this really cool toy store by me...Zany Brainy I think it was called. They had all kinds of neat toys you dont find at places like walmart or toys r us.

Does he have Hex Bugs? My boys love Hex Bugs and just saw the new glow in the dark ones at Target.

Here is a list:

Is he into superheroes? What about a personalized cape and mask from etsy? Star wars? I got Lance this Jedi Robe: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62446364/brownobe

These are really cool. We have several sets and both kids play with them quite a bit. If that link doesn't work, search for Magformers.

My 6 yo son just found and loved Hex bugs and some of their habitats. They are very cool! We play with them all the time. Stores I have seen them at is Target and a local toy/educational store we have here.

When my nephew turned 6 recently, we got him tickets to go indoor rock climbing. He was stoked about that. We gave him a card with photos of the cool rock climbing place all over it (it's a place 'specially designed for kids, so lots of fun), and inside there was a note that we would take him rock climbing with us the following month. He LOVED it.

i've given butterfly and ant farms for gifts - the kids always love them! but i'd make sure it's OK w/ the parents first

i get my butterflies kits from here: http://www.shop-insectlore.com/Butterflies/

and i usually get the gel kind of ant farm from the local toy store or amazon ...

i also bought some of these magic school bus science kits and we are enjoying them a lot!

What about bey blades? I'm not sure I spelled it right. It's tops that you launch into an arena and who ever stays spinning the longest wins. My neighbor has them and loves them and my 4 year old boy was enamored.
