Music Playlists

Currently I'm using Spotify Free but upgrading to premium as part of my mobile phone deal. Right now I have one huge playlist. I have a fairly eclectic taste so struggling to sort out my playlists. How have others sorted their music?

I sort mine in all different ways. I have a playlist that I like to listen to when I'm designing, so it's called Designing. I have a playlist called 'smart music' that I play when we are schooling, one called 'worship' with mixed Christian music, and a playlist with sentimental songs that remind me of my childhood. I have one of just sad songs that make me cry. You can sort your music by your mood, your activity, or by similar artists... like sometimes I start a new playlist when I realize a certain song doesn't fit in nicely with the one it's in. If I feel like skipping the song when I'm not in the mood for it (like, it's too upbeat) I start a new playlist based on that song with other more upbeat songs.

This is my list of playlists. They are mostly sorted by genre but I have a few that are artist-specific. I'm also subscribed to a few companies' playlists as well.

NEW - 10.15 ( random songs that were popular when I created the playlist)

DBarnes (my favorite singer)

FAITHful (Christian music)
FUNK
Glee (from the TV show)
Hear me RAWR (all women singers/bands)
JHoge (another favorite artist)
Lovefound (happy love songs)
Lovelost (sad love songs)
Moneymaker Shakers
Pitch Perfect (from the movie)
P&W FAITHful (praise & worship music)
Singer-Songwriter
Summer Jams (all songs that have 'summer' in the title and/or are abt summer)
Digster's GIRL POWER!
Billboard's Hot 100 (this regularly updates as long as I'm connected to the Internet)
Topsify's US Country Top 40 (this updates, too)
Filtr's 90s Smash Hits
some random guy's 90s R&B

I make a new playlist every month I have issues.

I have different ways of sorting also - I have several that are just by band/singer. I have lists by decade - 60s, 70s, 80s. I have a bedtime list that I play when I sleep. I have a Happy Dance list for when I'm batch cooking for the week or doing other mundane chores around the house. I have a road trip list. I have a New Hits list. I make new lists fairly often to suit my mood too
