Default Soooooo sloooooooowwwwww!

I just finished a layout but my pc is already taken about 20 minutes to save the file to my laptop. I only scrapbook and browse on that thing. And all my files are tiff, jpg or png....How can I get it to go quicker. This is not much fun.

Or is cleaning out my stash the only thing that would really help?

My laptop was slow when my drive was becoming full. It's a good laptop, so I simply bought a bigger drive, moved my stash to an EHD (including the ACDSee database), and it works like a dream.

I wouldn't start with deleting your stash - look into the Temporary Files, your Bin, etc., or ask someone to look at your PC. Sometimes there are loads of unnecessary files that you even don't know about. Before I bought the new drive a friend did this for me and it helped loads. I wanted a new drive anyway, and I moved the stash and database only in order to be able to access it from my desktop in Slovakia; that was not really a must to do.

Ok, I cleaned my bin.....40Gb....hahaha.
My drives are not full at all. I have two drives with both 500gb and the D-drive where my stash is is not even halfway full. And the C-drive is hardly used.

I found my cookies...but I lose all my passwords when I do that right?

I'm no expert, so I have no idea what it might be if your drive is not full... sometimes it can be a virus, or some application is taking too much of your memory... or you have insufficient memory... I have a friend who I consult each time I run into trouble, so I'm not much help.

IMHO cookies don't take up much space (and you don't have space issues anyway as you said), so if you're not sure, leave them be!

I know when my computer is really dragging all of a sudden, I'll go take a look and usually my McAfee antivirus is running a scan. Or some other software like Adobe,ITUNES or Microsoft is in the process of doing a download. Things usually go back to normal once that activity is done
