Default Unzipping more than 1 zip in Vista?

Can you do this? I know before you could select a whole mess of zips, right click, select extract files, set a destination, and they would all unzip themselves there.

I've tried doing it a few times here on the new laptop (with vista) and it doesn't work. I have to unzip them 1 at a time (which is the most obnoxious thing ever when I'm used to unzipping like 10 files at once, lol). Just wondering if anyone with Vista knows how to do this, or if I'm stuck, lol.

Hmmmm....so strange. I have Vista and can do multiple unzips at once. I use WinRar.....not sure why it wouldn't be working for you. I'm no help! LOL

T, how do you use winrar to do that? On the desktop I used to just select the zip icons, and do like I said.

I think I'm doing the same thing as you ....I just click on the zips, right click, winrar, extract here (or extra files...and pick the destination). Which program do you use?

I used a trial version of WinZip, but after awhile it got to be a royal pain to use ('cuz it's not free and will eventually drive you crazy enough with unzip wait times that you either have to reegister for a new trial or break down and buy it). Finally switched to WinRar and it works great! Hope you can get it to work....I'm stumped!

I'm looking for winrar now. I can't believe you have to friggen pay for winzip! I think there's no unzipping program on this laptop, which might be my problem. So I'm looking for winrar, but the sites I'm finding look a little shady.

You can use ACDSee to unzip multiple files at a time. That's all I use now and I love it!
