LOL Inquiring minds (extremely random)

So I have to ask...

I bought these as a snack (we rarely have them but I just had a hankerin')...and as I was munching on them this afternoon I noticed I eat them with a pattern of least favorite to most favorite.

I always eat the pretzels first (or sometimes I feed them to the dogs because ewwww...pretzels!), then the little mini french loaf looking things, (and mine didn't come with the sesame little bread things...weird, but actually those would go after the pretzels), and then the BEST part...the rye crisps!! Mmmmm!

So when you eat a snack mix, do you tend to just grab whatever happens to land in your hand or do you have a method?

I love those! I tend to mix them up so I have a little bit of each!!!!

Did you know you can buy a bag of just the little rye crisps? At least where I live. My son LOVES those!

Well... I eat everything one item/color/shape at time. Everything. Even soup. It's extremely annoying to John, though I have no idea why it has anything to do with him. lol!

BUT... I only eat the little dark brown flat thingies in those. Ewww to the rest.

eta - oh and that eating only one thing at a time, I have to eat all of those before I can move on to the next item. like say a bowl of chicken and stars, I eat all of the chicken first, and then all of the carrots, and then all of the stars, and then drink the broth.

You know, I got those once and they just didn't taste the same to me! I was so disappointed because a whole bag of just those is like perfection to me! Maybe I should try them again...hmmmm.

I do that with Chex Mix. The cheesy kind, I give the cheese triangles to the kids because blech. I pick out the little breadstick thingies. Then I eat the pretzels. Then I mix the rice/corn chex pieces so that I don't end up with all wheat ones.

I usually get the sweet + salty mixes, so I will try to eat one salty piece + one sweet piece until I run out. I never eat the rye chips.

I do the same thing with Gummi Bears (only real Haribo, thankyouverymuch). I pick out all the white ones & give those to DH, and then I eat either red + orange, green + yellow, or all four together until I run out.

Most of the time, I am a 'separatist,' though. I will eat all of one thing on my dinner plate (without it touching anything else -- blegh!) and then move to the next thing, etc. I don't mind casseroles, but I won't just take a spoonful of everything on my plate and eat it together or, God forbid, use some kind of chip or piece of bread and scoop it up at the same time.

This makes me think... I eat everything equally, so in the end I have one of each variety. I do love those rye chips! I would buy a bag of all those.

I only eat the rye crisps...everything else is just not worth it. LOL!

When eating candy or anything with color, I tend to eat all the same colors at once. Then move on to another color.

as a kid i was super picky about how i ate my food...one thing at a time - pulled things apart to eat the layer i wanted to first...all that stuff. but it just seemed to fade away as i got older. now i notice my kids doing it and it partly drives me crazy - but mostly i think it's funny cause i know where they got it from!

I used to do this too. Even scraping all the toppings off a pizza so I could eat them separately from the crust.

I tend to eat my favorites first, leaving the ones I like least to last, or for another time when I'm desperate enough for SOMETHING (anything) to snack on.

I pick out all the rye crisps and throw them back in the bag for my DH. After they're gone, I just eat it, in no particular order.

I hate the rye crisps. I usually throw them away. And I prefer a cheese-flavored bagged party mix, which I eat all together (unless it's homemade party mix and then I get to put in all the stuff I like and it's not cheesy ).

However, I don't like food touching on my plate. But I do take turns with bites. In fact, it bugs me to eat something without a side. Like a burger has to have fries or chips (or fruit/salad if I'm being good). Even something like a burro, I need chips and salsa as a side.

For that snack and chex mix... I pick around eating the rye crisp, first... in fact, when hubby gets a bag of chex mix - he hates the rye crisp and leaves those for me... yay!

Otherwise if I eat, say a handful of jelly beans... I have to short them out and then I round robin until the same number are in the each pile... then I pause and from left to right I eat one. On my plate... I usually eat the think I like best, first... and then if I have room, I'll eat the meat (I'm not a fan)... if I like everything on my plate - the least liked item is first and I leave my fav for last...

Yup - I'm quirky...

I've never eaten these... but before we had to give up gluten [ETA : nearly 3 yrs ago] I used to loooove sourdough pretzels. now we're oddballs. we snack on weird stuff like : rice cakes, veggies w/hummus, fresh fruit or our own mix of nuts with some decadent dark chocolate. freakazoids... I know.

I try to even it up as I go... one pretzel, one bread loaf thing, one rye chip, etc.

And yes, those rye chips are good! Yum.

I think if you don't eat Gardettos in order, you might be weird.

I have never seen those here? I'm sure there are probably a variation of them. I'm sure I wouldn't eat the dark bread thing. Whatever that is called but, the rest of it looks good I can't have my food touching. The dessert has to be on a seperate plate. I do eat things together. I just can't have it touch. Weird I know lol!
