Default Christmas Ideas for almost 2 year old girl

What is everyone getting their little ones this year?

Ok, I know there are several of us that have kiddos about the same age. DD will be 21 months, not so hard on the heart as saying almost 2 Anyway I am at a total loss on what to get her. We have so many hand me down toys from DS, that are still in perfect condition.

Linkies and pics welcome

It is harder for Ella..I think it's like you said she has so many hand-me-downs already from Avery, plus she's at an age where she's outgrown baby toys but not really ready for dolls and stuff yet...I debated a lot but when we went to my sister's a few weeks ago she played non-stop with my niece's little play kitchen so we decided to get Ella one...this one...

and I'm most excited about this one b/c she is going to FLIP over it lol...

and a few more items she's getting...

and a couple Melissa and Doug sets to go with her kitchen...

Her birthday is also on Dec. 10th so I think she's getting some kind of tricycle...haven't picked the exact one yet.

Nikki - we have that exact kitchen - we got it last summer when Ava was almost 2. I thought it would be too old for her at the time, but she LOVED it! She still loves it, although she doesn't play with it as much as she had been (she's almost 3 now).

I would totally recommend a play kitchen Angel! And then little food sets as extra gifts. Melissa & Doug make really cute ones, or you can get big generic plastic food sets (we have one, but I hate them, lol - I want to get some better quality sets). Ikea also sells little felt food sets for about $10 each (SO cute!).

At 2 my DD was into all things crafty -- paper, stickers, stamps, markers, crayons, paint, painting smock, etc.

She liked her little ride-on toys at 2 -- we had this FP ride on that had a storage compartment that she would fill with her treasures and "drive" them around the house.

She also had a little purse that she would fill and carry with her.

She was also into play clothes. We had a princess dress-up trunk we picked up from Sears. She LOVED wearing them (usually all 7 outfits at once, haha!).

We also had good luck with puzzles (the wooden peg ones) and mega blocks. She loved to build towers and then knock them down.

Mya is almost three now, but hits from last Christmas were a play kitchen and a couple of Little People sets (a Castle and a Farm). We also put together a 'dress up box' from things her grandmothers or I were done with. That's been the biggest hit and the cheapest present

Thanks for the ideas ladies!

We already have a play kitchen from DS, so we don't need another one. Although maybe we could get some new food.

That V-Tech jungle gym is really cute!

Craft stuff, that's a great idea. She loves to color and put stickers on her papers. Maybe I could put together a little craft box just for her. I would like to get her one of those coloring book/crayon holder bags for on the go.

What about a Little People doll house?
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=3605669

Or how about a Little Mommy doll and stroller?
http://www.toysrus.com/search/index....S/2254197&sr=1

Keira has a couple of those dolls and she always loved them.

Keira got this for Christmas when she was two and I still see her playing with it.

Oh, I love that crayon wallet! That might be easier than the bag. And those crayons are too cute

The Fisher Price Little People home is on our list

She has a stroller already, but that purse is cute.

Thanks ladies for the ideas.

Between Hanukkah and Lauren's 2nd birthday (12/26) we're doing a play kitchen, a doll stoller, a few dress up outfits and hats, books, videos, and markers and stickers. We have a ton of boy and gender neutral toys, so I always buy the girly stuff as her gifts. At this age I'll also wrap toys that the boys used that have been in the basement that are new to Lauren.

We have the Little People house, but it hasn't been too big a hit. Maybe eventually.

We bought DS several little people sets for his 2nd Christmas and he hardly ever touched them...Ella has shown no interest in them either...my Mom recently gave me some of my old little people sets from the 70's though and they play with them every day lol...go figure.

DS had the lawn bubble blower and she did play with that this summer.

We have LP sets, Austin played with them ALL the time. Emily does show interest in them, but right now I only have the farm out for her.

Does anyone have these? I saw them at TRU and Emily liked them, but wasn't sure if it is really for 2 and up? I'm guessing she wouldn't dress them yet, but maybe just play with them?

My daughter will be 22 months at Christmas and we are getting her a baby doll nursery set (crib/stroller/high chair/ect). She's really been into her baby dolls lately & now that she's walking this will be perfect for her.
