Default Weekend plans?

It's finally Friday! It's been a super long week for me, with working late for our retirement gala, Halloween, and just life in general.

I'm looking forward to a weekend of doing as little as possible lol My next 3 weekends are busy, so I'm taking the time this weekend to RELAX.

What is everyone else up to?

Happy Friday Trina!

Tomorrow, breakfast with the family to celebrate hubby's birthday. Then the grandkiddos will come home with us to spend the day together.

Sunday we're going out for dinner at our favorite restaurant and then doing a little shopping.

We normally do not run so much on the weekends, but will have the rest of the week to rest!

Tonight will be listening the my high school's playoff football game.
Tomorrow will be watching a streaming football game for Trine University where my cousin's son is a senior wide receiver. The Buckeyes game will overlap this game so I'm glad one is on TV and the other is streaming.
Sunday is online church.

And, recovering from the flu so will be on the couch a lot!

I had a super busy week too with work & a continuing education class one evening as well as Halloween & the normal kid shenanigans. We are in McCall Idaho for the weekend (about a 5hr drive from our home) for my son's hockey tournament. The nice thing is all 4 of us (plus my mom too) were able to come this time so it's kind of a family getaway instead of a divide & conquer type of weekend!

My son and 7 of his teammates are going to States for cross country today! Unfortunately, he hurt his hip a few weeks ago so hasn't trained as hard as he usually would and he has been sick with a sore throat and today just congestion, but he says he is running anyway! I'm so proud of these boys. They have worked so hard this year starting preseason in June. They got 3rd place at Districts and then States today will be their last race of the season. It's gonna be an emotional but fun day! My daughter is also running in her GNAC college championship today in Maine. We are in PA so unfortunately, we couldn't make it there, but she is hoping for a great time today. I'm hoping her coach atleast records or live streams the end of the race. Cross Country doesn't get as much coverage as their other sports unfortunately and my daughter is really trying to change that!

Besides spending the afternoon watching the race, I'll be working on decorating the house for Christmas and I still have a full bulbs I need to pull out of their pots to store for Winter since we had our first frost. I'm hoping to scrap a bit this weekend since I haven't started the November This or That challenges yet, too!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Working an overnight shift but it means I get more time to chill and I get to spend an overnight shift with friends I haven't worked with in a while. It'll be nice.

I just finished putting away fall/Halloween decorations. That took all day! Yikes!
I am starting Christmas decorating early this year (I usually start the day after Thanksgiving) because we have lots of family coming in mid-December for our youngest son's college graduation.

This is the first weekend in a long time where I don't have any real plans. DD volunteered this morning and DS and DH went climbing. I stayed home and cleaned, which sounds boring, but I organized a ton of stuff that I had been putting off. I feel so accomplished today! (Although there's still stuff to do, like take 6 boxes of clothes and books to Goodwill lol. That's on tomorrow's To Do list.)

Not much today, we played a couple board games, World Wonders & Fit to Print (Both great, btw), I got groceries, started getting photos put into templates, trying to get my mojo back. Tomorrow I'll take down the inside Halloween while hubby starts to winterize outside.

I love seeing what everyone is up to. Today I didn't even get dressed until 11:30, and only then because I was meeting my mom at a shop she loves (so I could get birthday gift ideas for her lol). We have some drama with my nephew and his fiancee and the wedding they're planning, so she needed some time to vent and talk without my kiddos around.

Saturday, while I was home with Michelle (doing cleaning and laundry), Lan had to take our son to the ENT, because the pediatric we saw last Tuesday said that Michael's tonsils were inflamed and needed further observation from the ENT. 2 hours of waiting and queueing, but only to be seen for 5 minutes, because she was rushing to go for lunch %^&*( She said that his tonsils are abnormally big, not inflamed and needed to be removed...
We are not sure whether to believe what the ENT said... we might go for a second opinion in this case.
Michelle and I then met them up in a mall by subway, we had an early nice dinner, before heading home.

Today, Sunday, we just had a low key relaxing day at home, eating takeaways.

How is it tomorrow Monday already? I want a longer weekend.
