Anyone in the Denver area?

We're planning on coming to Colorado for vacation again this year. We went to Colorado Springs last year and LOVED it but thought we might head to Denver this year. Dh was searching for things to do in the Denver area online last night and found a few kid-friendly things but I was hoping someone here would have a few more ideas of things we don't want to miss! Our kiddos are 8, 5 and 2 1/2 if that helps. I was hoping for an amusement park of some sort - is there anything like that around there???

We're also considering Estes Park but we're not sure we want to drive the extra distance . . .

There are a ton of fun things to do in the Denver area! You'll have a great time! Denver does have an amusement park with a water park - it is called Elitches. My kids are 6 & 9, and they love going to Estes Park too! Rocky Mountain National Park is a great place to visit, but the town itself is fun to wander around.

I grew up about 3 hours from Denver and we always went there for school shopping and my birthday every year in August. I remember going to Elitches (theme park) and Casabonitas (restaurant). I enjoyed them both as a kid.

There was another place I remember - the Organ Grinder - and I went to look it up and found that it has been torn down for many years...makes me kind of sad. Oh well. Anyway, haven't been to either place in years, but thought I would throw out those suggestions. Have fun!
