Angry I USE to be married NOW i'm just engaged..........

yeah so last night i had this weird bump under my rings, so i took them off... i NEVER take off my wedding rings... i literally could count the times i've taken them off on one hand and we've been married for 8 years!

anywho so i put them on the coffee table and forgot about them...

then i get up this morning and find my engagement ring on the kitchen counter.....

one of the boys is all "oh mommy mommy i'm so sorry!"

and i'm all, "it's okay, where's my other ring?"

"i don't ReMEMber......."

he effen LOST my wedding band!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can't find it.... so if you were a wedding band, where would you be?!?!?!?

*diarrhea*

If you found the other on the kitchen counter, I would think now is a good time to move the stove and refridgerator and mop the floor. Everything I never wanted to lose ended up under my stove. Stuff rolls.

oh no! ce actually did the same thing to me a couple weeks ago (not that like.. I care about my set like you do LOL).. mine are kept in a box in my desk drawer.. they were there, I looked at them.. then the next morning, ce hands me my engagement ring... wedding band is lost forever. I still cant' find it. I have a feeling we're both going to need to tear apart the house if we want them back I want mine mostly cause I was thinking about selling the set (the wedding band has diamonds in it otherwise I wouldn't care LOL )

pahahahahaha!

the same thing happened to Matt while I was gone on deployment and then he cleaned the kitchen table {it is always our dumping ground for EVERYTHING, we never eat there} like 3 weeks later and it was magicly there!
he thinks one of the kids just randomly found it on the floor somewhere and then put it back on the table!

I hope you find it!

Before we got married I was taking my rings to get soldered together and our dog was just a pup, 4 months old at the time, and I noticed she was chewing on something. She had swiped my rings off of the table and was going to swallow my wedding ring, luckily I got it out of her mouth, because there was no way I was going to fish through some poo to get it back!

I was told once by a jewlery guy to shut off all the lights when it's dark and roll a flash light along the floor because it will make the diamonds shine. I couldn't find my diamond that fell out, but I bet if it's the whole ring you could (if it had diamonds)

Good suggestion by Angel! I would be doing the lights off/flashlight rolling boogie tonight, girl!

And, I would start in the living room (or wherever the coffee table is).

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'm dying for you!! BUT, at least it's not your diamond! I know that might not help, but I would have diarrhea FOR REAL if my diamond went missing!!

Egads. Not cool, man!!

Last year my wedding set went missing - my engagement ring is soldered between 2 diamond bands, and the whole thing was gone. We looked high and low for about 2 weeks, I think. Grilled Ella, of course. She was/is a little hoarder.

Anywho, I did laundry one day, stuff that had been in the back of Ella's closet (yes ... I waited that long!!). Sure enough, I opened the dryer and pulled out a pair of shorts and the ring fell out of her shorts!!!! I nearly died. But, it was all in one piece, no diamonds missing.

Sure was clean.

Oh my! Hope it shows up - at least it cant be too far away - on a brighter note you have a fab excuse to avoid the vaccuum cleaner!!

Timely reminder to anyone with diamond settings - get your ring settings checked - Ive lost my solitaire (over a year ago) still have the ring but the rock is long gone!! It was in that ring for over 20 years!

Oh my, I hope you find them. I can relate, my two year old now refuses to look for anything that is missing. Now she just tells me "is gone, is gone". She used to look around the house if I asked her where something is. I hope you find it soon!

I hope you find it! My kid put one of my diamond earrings down the sink drain and I was sick for a long time about that. I couldn't imagine my wedding ring! ACK!

awww I hope you find it!! One year my husband who never ever buys me jewelry bought me this really pretty necklace with a heart locket that opens up to put two pictures in it. I put pictures of him and our kids in it. My son loved opening it and looking in it. He was like three or four I think. Well I had taken it off and had set it on my nightstand and I guess he saw it and opened it up only he opened it to far and bent the hinge so it would not close. Instead of coming to tell me he tried to "fix it" by banging it shut with a hammer....not good at all LOL

I think I would be taking apart the kitchen drain pipes and looking there first...before any water is run down it! Good luck...and mine are off at the moment and by a sink...I'm going to put them on before something happens! Good luck!!!

My solution would be to go out and buy a new fancier one. When my DH and I got married (close to 17 years ago) we couldn't afford very expensive rings, so about 5 years into our marraige (when I decided it had a good chance of surviving the dreaded divorce rate) I went out and bought myself a nice new wedding band. I am not big on diamonds and didn't want them. I just wanted a unique gold wedding band. I still wear it and still love it.

If you are in the market for a fabulously unique wedding band... check out this site. I just like to browse through all of their fabulous stuff. So gorgeous! Mondera

They no longer have the style that I bought, but this one is similar to it. Mine isn't 2-tone 14k gold. It is only 14k yellow gold. I love how unique it is. Their stuff is super high quality and comes packaged soooo lovely. The ring below is $450.

as much as i'd love an excuse to buy some jewelry....

i'd seriously be broken hearted if i really had to replace my band...
my band matches my engagement ring... both are platinum and simple and perfect, just the way i wanted them. and dh's matches mine except um obviously fatter....

and thank GOD it wasn't my diamond cuz my Mother gave me her wedding rings and i used the diamond from it in my setting.... and now that she's gone, i'd literally fall apart if it was lost. i really should NEVER let that thing off my hand (thankfully i rarely do).

still no sign of the band though.... i'm planning on doing the high and low search today... THANKFULLY the counter i found the other ring on is near the stove and NOT the sink!

i'll keep ya posted!

LOL, when my hubby and I were first married I gained a lot of weight, so I started wearing my rings on a necklace. On our first anniversary I noticed that the middle diamond of my wedding ring was missing. Never did find that thing...and so for 7 years I just wore the engagement ring...

Woot! Woot! Yippee! I am soooo glad that it turned up Lauren.

I lost mine on our honeymoon. Yes, honeymoon. Went down the pool slide into a salt water pool on the cruise ship and ring came off! Got out of the water and starting screaming for DH who was still in the water. He started diving into the pool with his eyes open (remember, it's salt water) looking on the bottom of the pool for it. The bottom has a drain that recirculates the water back out into the ocean. Finally, the lifeguard on duty shut the pumps down on the pool. DH looked a few more minutes and FOUND it on the edge of the drain. ABOUT 2 SECONDS away from being lost 4 EVA! When he got out of the pool and brought to me....I flipped! All these emotions just poured out of me and I cried and cried and cried some more. Everyone clapped for us and someone bought us a drink. It was such a horrible moment that ended wonderfully.

Ugh! Makes my heart sink just telling the story!

Eva!!! Where were you when I was looking for my wedding band a few months ago!?!?!? That site would've been PERFECT! I wanted a celtic inspired engraved ring with no diamonds. I ended up having it custom made for about the same price as one of those. I need a thin band (mine's 5mm) otherwise it looks strange next to my engagement ring. But I'm DEF bookmarking that site for the future

PS~Glad you found your ring Lauren I take my engagement ring off every night, but I plan on never (or as little as possible) taking off my wedding band once it goes on (in less than a month!!!). I ONLY put it on a little ring stand that I have on my nightstand. but I also don't have little ones to mess with it yet, lol.

So happy for you!!! I lost mine once...it took me a long time to find it...it slipped off my fingers as I was putting my pantyhose in a drawer...and it slipped below them! ...kept washing the pantyhose and putting fresh on top...took until I ran out one week! lol

Wooot, glad you found it! I always take my rings of when taking a shower, using body lotion or in the kitchen when I have to make dough or something like that.
