I got an email about this today from Adobe, I thought I'd pass it along.

You can download it and use it until April 30th. I guess that's when LR3 ships, I'm glad I got the email, I was planning on buying 2, but I'll wait now.

Yes, we were talking about that last week I think. I'm trying to decide if I want to install the Beta and see if it's worth paying for teh upgrade when it comes out.

I downloaded the beta, and am enjoying playing with Lightroom.

I got that e-mail too and was debating on d/l it...I am afraid I am gonna love it too much and want to buy it but I DO NOT have the $$$$$$$

Right there with ya Christine, but I am going to play with it anyway!

Academic superstore sells it for $99 (or at least that's what LR2 was last year around Christmas). Make friends with a teacher You can use your kids info if they are in school, but I'm not sure what the restrictions are on that. Jordan's mom is a teacher so she got it for me.

You might also be able to get it for the $99 education price through your local university bookstore, that's how I got my copy of LR1. My DH is a teacher and they told me to bring in his ID badge or something similar for proof but the college kids working there when I went in to pick it up didn't even ask to see it! So if you know someone who is a student see if they can pick it up for you
