Looking for a paper trimmer
What is a good paper trimmer for cutting cards and other straight lines? One that also has other blades such as perforating and scoring would be nice too. I am wanting something that will be able to do a lot of cutting. I have been looking around but thought I would ask someone who may have had a good experience with one. One I have been looking at is a Fellowes Electron. Anyone try one of those?

Sorry Jenn, I haven't . . . I use a Tonic guillotine and I really like it (have had it for years). I believe they make a model that has different types of blades (not a 100%)

I use a Fiskars one like this: http://www2.fiskars.com/Crafting/Pro...2#.UbivNBbrCzc
I've only used the regular blade but I think you can get other ones to go with it. I bought mine at Michael's with a coupon awhile back. |

I use an el cheapo Fisker one... have for years and had to get another because hubby kept "stealing" it... haha
I do have an EK Success Cutterpede http://www.amazon.com/EK-Success-Cut.../dp/B00020SEP6. You can get separate decorative cutting blades for it... it does the job... the one thing I didn't like is that the part that has the blade doesn't lift up like the fisher cutter... so you have to slide the paper under the handle/blade... hope that makes sense...

I have the older model of this one:
http://www2.fiskars.com/Crafting/Pro...2#.UbjmaJzNke8 it does have the ability to have a scoring blade as well, though I have not used it.

Since I have the same one I will answer for her... my blades lasted about 6 months or so with regular use. That was back in my paper scrapping days. Now they last forever.

Yeah, I don't use mine that often so I've only replaced the blades a few times in the few years I've had it, and that's with cutting thick stuff like chipboard and acrylic with it.
