Brag Book/Album Question
When you are doing an album or bragbook, do you typically restrict yourself to just one kit/color scheme? Or do you instead go with the flow of your pictures? I know I've seen many templates/quick pages that are all of the same kit, but I'm not sure I have it in me to scrap an entire book with the same color scheme.
Does that make any sense?

I usually stick to one theme; if there is a co-ordinating kit, I go 'the whole hog' and use the kit to make a co-ordinating gift box or folder to hold my brag book or mini album. I usually stick to a 'one off' photo shoot as well (e.g. birthday party or day at the park etc....)!!!!!

I didn't do a brag book but it was a mini trading card album and no I didn't use the same kit, I went with stuff that I liked with the photos.

It really depends on your own style/taste. If you don't want to scrap an entire album using one kit, then don't.
I rarely scrap multiple layouts wtih the same kit. However, I want to get some of my vacations done and printed into shutterfly books, and I think those would look awesome using one kit.

I've never done a QP album, but I think those would make it easier to scrap with just one kit/color scheme.
The brag book I started (and have yet to finish...though I really should someday, lol) I used whatever went with the photos...I figured it was like a mini scrapbook. I guess it's all personal taste...I've seen some done all with one kit (or a couple kits mixed together) and seen some done with whatever people wanted to use. If you think you'd get bored of the same colors while scrapping the pages, I'd go for the other...but if you're using QPs I think that would make it a bit easier since they're just "drop in your photos, add your journaling" type things. |

hmmm, I think it really depends on your style. I recently did a 10 page album using a single kit and it took me forever to make sure that I didn't use the same papers 3 pages in a row, for example. LOL I wanted the pages to all have a similar look to them which is why I used a single kit though I did incorporate embellishments from various other kits also.

I did one recently and didn't use the same kit, but I did use several kits with the same color schemes to keep it somewhat consistent. HTH - have fun!

Thanks for the input ladies. I'm going to try to stick with the same few kits that I've started with, but I'll probably end up going wherever the pictures lead me.
