Default Thank You Sweet Shoppe :)

...though my paypal account and husband do not. LOL

I mentioned before that my kids had literally destroyed my paper scrapbooks. So I decided to re-do them all, and add all the journaling and things that I did not do before. digitally so that they could forever be enjoyed. This has been a HUGE project! And about 70% of my pages are with SSD goodies.

I have 2004-2007 done. I am half done with 2008 and nearly all my 2011 photos done as well.

Um, WOW! I'm impressed! I'd love to do that -- I am working on a project to scan all my old photos and get them in photo books, and I don't even have the time to deal with those!

Omgosh that was the biggest pain was scanning all the old photos and trying to clean them up!

that is awesome!!!!!!! I am just glad I did P365 last year and this year and anything in between is a bonus....I did go back and scrap some old LO's of my DD from when she was born {1993 up until I had digital pics}....and I can realte to the pain of scanning!!!! I have soooo many more to do....

did you just do main events that you could remember? how did you decide what to scrap? my problem is I want to scrap it all and I just know I cannot scrap everything form the past 18 years....so give me some advice/direction on scrapping all those old photos!

The project started in March when my Dads cancer went terminal. I wanted to scrap everything with him in it first. Then I just went in to all my photos and divided them by year and month. Then within the year I scrapped all the big events first. Births, holidays, parties...so on. Then I looked for what grabbed me as important or special to define that year in the album. Now that my albums are at the year 2008, I am sure they will be bigger because my second son was born in late 2007!

But I've really been forcing myself to scrap within the year album I am trying to finish! It's been fun!

I should really do that. I went through all my pics a while back, narrowed them down, and made a folder for each year of 20 'must scrap' photos... now I just need to actually scrap them. I figured having only 20 photos to choose from would save me time in figuring out which photo to scrap. Now I have to put that idea into practice. You are motivating me!

thanks, and yes I am caught up on 2011! I've been so depressed about my Dad passing that scrapping is the only thing that seems to keep my attention. i'm pretty sure my butt is bigger now though.

I started a project like this a couple weeks ago. I took all the pictures from my parents house and told my mom that I would get them all organized and in photo books for her. It's going to be a huge project, but I enjoy having all the old pictures to look through and do whatever I want with. Plus, I always have something fun to scrap.

This is quite motivating! Thanks for sharing.

That's amazing, Amy!!
I'm trying to finish my albums by the years too. And most of my pages are also with SSD products! You sure have inspired me to keep working on it, I can't wait to finally have some albums printed!
And someday, I hope I will be caught up enough to redo my paper books as well... That would be so awesome! But I'm afraid that won't happen any time soon!

What an amazing idea Julie! I love this and need to do this. As soon as I"m done putting my Alaska photos on my Shutterfly share site this is what I'm doing next. Yeah for inspiration!

Amy - wow! You are amazing. Thanks for sharing your accomplishment. Totally puts me to shame.
