i got a couple christmas stamp sets and their sampler of the cardstock. holy moly! that cardstock is NICE!! its so sturdy and thick. much better than the stuff i got at Hobby Lobby, lol. i'm definitely going to get some kraft cardstock later. in the meantime, i'm going to creat a few christmas cards and share them later. can't wait to get started!

I'd love to see what you make Corey My order is stuck in UK customs The cardstock is lovely but it costs too much to post it over here to the UK but I did sneak come kraft and the sampler onto the end of one of my orders

i finished one! they will probably all be different, as i have such a variety of embelishments. i had fun, but took me forever, lol. and its not perfect. there are flaws, which i will of course point out, lol.
pictures are crappy; lighting is horrible in my kitchen so i turned up the iso. edited it to help but its noisy.

finished product.

the cheap silver ink pad i got sucks. it didnt go on the stamp evenly as you can see. and its very light. i should have used black or a blue color. oh well. and you can see where on the bottom right corner, i got some spray adhesive leakage because the corner came up so i sprayed my finger and rubbed in underneath and got in on the outside. i could not find my double sided tape. i will not use the spray adhesive as much next time.

also, the rounded corners i did myself with scissors. its not hard but i think i will get myself and rounded corner punch, lol. the snowflakes are from a martha stewart paper punch and i love it!! and i'm so in love with glitter. everything will be glittered now, lol.

thanks for looking! i'm quite proud!

AWESOME job Corey!!

FYI - I often find that my photopolymer stamps (clear stamps) are a little weird initially and don't "take" ink well (regardless of if I'm using cheap ink or the good stuff). If you go over the stamp a few times with a plain old pencil eraser before inking it, it usually takes the ink much better. I think there is some type of oily residue left over on the stamps from the manufacturing process and the eraser gets rid of it. I'm not saying that's what happened to you, but just in case there are any clear stamp "newbies" reading this thread.

Jen, the instructions that came with the stamps said to do just that, lol. i just couldn't find an eraser haha. i think i'll try that though. i have a wooden block stamp and it did much better, but they are sometimes $$ unless i find a sale, or i just can't find many i like around here.

thanks ladies for the compliments! i'm going to do some more maybe today after i get this house cleaned. hard to work around clutter, lol.

DEFINITELY try it Corey!! It's AMAZING the different that pencil eraser makes in the quality of the stamped image!! In fact, I keep a gigantic eraser right on my stamping table just for that purpose and "erase" each stamp before inking it up every single time, just in case - even if it's an older stamp. It just seems like they take the ink better.

here's another.

kinda plain, lol. that tree stamp didn't take very well, and i used an eraser on it. i think i need to get some better ink pads. plus i know there are different kinds and i dont' know much about them yet. i have some that say 'dye' ink and some that say 'pigment' ink and i've seen the chalk ones too.

and i'm in love with my Martha Stewart scalloped paper punch!

Here's a tutorial on my blog on stamping with solid images: http://pinefeather.typepad.com/pine_...id-images.html You might find a few more things you can try out...

As far as ink - you are going to have better results using a pigment or hybrid type ink (pigment is my favorite for acrylic stamps - it takes a little longer to dry, but so worth it) Some people love the chalk, but it's not my favorite and it seems to really stain my acrylic stamps. Dye inks work, but they tend to bead up more on the stamps. You just really have to keep experimenting to see what you like personally.

Love this card too!

PTI is totally addicting. Get their inks. I've never used such fantastic inks before in my life. I usually buy at least 1 new ink pad whenever I place an order, I've gotten myself quite the collection now

Their cardstock is phenomenal, and I love their patterned papers as well.
