Default BLECH!

Our house is being taken over by evil earwigs. My husband is too cheap to call the bug man, so I have taken it upon myself to smash and spray every one of them that I find, but they just keep coming!! I feel so spoiled as our last house didn't have them, but this house is older and we moved in at the tail end of last summer, so I didn't get the full experience and let me say...GROSS.

Just really, really gross.

And if you don't know what an earwig is, Google with caution, my friends.

we had an earwig problem too. We did call the bug man out because we were getting 3 different kinds of ants in our house so he sprayed for all bugs too. He sprayed the outside of the house and found their "nest"- they were in the vent holes in our bricks and when he sprayed they all came running out. ICK. But I would rather deal with them than roaches. Im deathly afraid of roaches.

Me, too! Actually, I'm pretty much deathly afraid of ALL bugs. Regular visits from the exterminator have always been part of our budget because we figure they're cheaper than therapy & I probably would have died already of a heart attack without them.

I don't know what they are, but I'm shuttering for you. Ants upset me. I'm sure earwigs would surely send me over the edge.

We had them after we built our home - they were coming up our drains. Ewwww! The bugman told us the best control was to pour clorox bleach down the drains for a few days. Within a week they were all gone.

Good luck on getting rid of them. They are creepy.

bwahahaha! awesome ear wigs!

We've had some outside, some years more, some years less, but never in the house (Thank God!). Soapy water (with dih soap) does miracles on them, because it blocks their breathing pores and they die.

Just spotted one earwig on the ceiling of my flat. I'm dead afraid of bugs, and I hate earwigs - used to have them on the balcony and never liked the idea they were there, but at least they didn't go in. This year I didn't even pot any flowers, so I have no idea where this one came from. I managed to kill it somehow, but now I'm sitting on the couch all frozen, hoping this was the only one, but dead scared in case it wasn't. O_o
