Default How to you find your brushes?

Like your brush alphas and such?

I hate trying to find the one I want in photoshop. And then it takes me forever to find who I got it from. LOL!

I need a better system.

Hmm... good question. Most of mine only come from 4 designers, and two of them always name theirs the same (Traci's "alphabitties" and Krystal's "alpha files") and the other two designers I mostly only get brushes from. Traci and Krystal both have files in my stash with those product names where I just stick all of those in, so if I want to use theirs I just go to those folders.

I have a folder outside of Adobe that I keep mine in because I find it's easier to load. I try to keep them pretty organized. It works well for me, I LOVE brushes and use them quite a bit.

Oh and I load mine in one set at a time. I just replace whatever brushes are loaded each time I want a different set.

I have them tagged and I have made the effort to create sets in PS Presets according to type and author. Meaning, if I want vintage flower brushes scripty brushes etc. or Krystal's brushes / Penny's brushes etc., I can just do one click and only that collection is automatically loaded. It saves a huge amount of time.

i have one folder with .abr brushes. this way i never have to search for them or click through my folders. i use acdsee and have all brushes/brushpreviews tagged, so when i want to see them first, i go there.

I just deleted a bunch of my freebie brushes and then rearranged everything else that I kept. Put the flowers together, paint splatters together, alphas together, dates, PL, etc. I think it annoys me way less than having to load a new brush set each time would.

I have a brush folder that I save brushes in by category. On my PC I tag the png of the brush in PSE Organizer. But on my Mac I use brush pilot, which is a great little program that allows you to scroll through and see abr files. Best $20 I ever spent. I love brushes.
