Default Photogs- which would you get?

Can't decide. SB900 or 85mm 1.8 (Nikon)
I currently have a Metz speedlight (equivalent of the sb600), a zoom, a prime, and the kit lens. Plan on doing some strobist style off camera lighting so another speedlight is a necessity....but...might be shooting a beach wedding this September and I need to make sure I have the right equipment. It's not feasible to throw up a full lighting set-up outside in the sand with 50 guests. Leaning towards the lens.
Which would you get? Thank you!

Get the lens Amy. That's what all my teachers recommend at school. They hold their value the most.

I really want the 85mm 1.4 but my wallet can't handle it and my brain can't justify it. $800 price differene. Sigh. Lens lust never ends.
Scared of that wedding, haven't said yes or no yet. I swore I wouldn't touch one for a few years...but..I just don't know. Gonna talk to 2 more photographesr and see what their advice is.

id get the lens. But i really only shoot natural light, so im biased. lol

I shot a wedding once, even tho i swore i never would. I wouldnt do it again. The photos all turned out great and i was proud of myself, but its not my thing. Too much stress = no fun for me.

If you already have 1 speedlight, I would go for the lens. You can rent more speedlights from various places online if you want to get some for the wedding.

I value lenses more than speedlights, but I prefer natural light too, so that's part of that.

Also true. Being able to rent pretty much anything like that, is SO COOL to me. I want to rent a 30mm and a 85mm to try and narrow those down for myself.
