You drive to Kansas City Missouri...go visit the LEGO sculpture exhibit...walk down the hall and eat here:

Where a train delivers your hamburger patties to your table! Choo! Choo!

That is where we went today...I had the Gen Dare (hamburger, crispy shredded hashbrowns, onions, and cheese) ... they even have the "Kitchen Sink" hamburger. lol Good onion rings and chocolate shakes! ...if you wait 6-8 weeks to come...we will have a new one of these restaurants opening up just a few miles away!!

What was the question?

yep, that's about all we do! maybe some garlic seasoning, seasoned salt, taco seasoning, whatever really.

If you like salsa and you want to try something different, you can half the patty and put some cheese and salsa in the middle of the two halves and smush the edges and cook it. yum!

At first I thought you were joking... but then I realized you aren't! LOL! But for reals, you've never made a hamburger patty??

I like "stuffed" burgers... make two mini patties that are pretty flat (burger + steak seasoning + extra garlic powder). Lay down one patty, then put a slice of cheese, some onion and some mushroom on top, then put the other patty on top and seal around the edges REALLY well.

I like them on the grill (or even indoor grill), but even in a skillet that are yummy.

Enjoy your burgers!

we always throw in some chopped up onions, garlic, montreal steak seasoning and then make patties. I always throw sauteed mushrooms on mine too. Nummy!

We do them like this sometimes too! Sooooooooooo good!!! I also add a little A-1 or Worcestershire Sauce to my meat. Also, if you're grilling, use meat that has a little fat in it. I try to get 15%. That way they don't dry out.
In fact, this is what we are having tonight!

ok.. this may seem a bit wierd, but this is the way I usually start, and I think it may come from the Betty Crocker cookbook or maybe Better Homes? whichever is red checkered...

1/4 C or so of breadcrumbs - usually seasoned
1 egg
2 tsp or so of prepared mustard - your choice, i like vinegary tangy stuff in the burger
2 tsp or so of chopped garlic
2 tsp or so of finely chopped onion or dried onion flakes - your choice
1 TBS or so of Worcestershire sauce

-- at this point, is when I usually start throwing whatever strikes me at the moment as tasty into the mix... BBQ sauce, hickory smoke seasoning, bacon bits, homemade teriyaki sauce, or substituting soy sauce, etc. --

mix all of above together, then add 1 pound ground meat... once mixed divide into half, then half again for quarter-pound burgers

Grill or broil around 5-7 min for well done... add a cheese slice last 90 sec for a good melt

I put an egg in there to help bind the burger together sometimes. I put pepper, Soy sauce, Red Devil hot sauce, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, coarse ground mustard, and red pepper. They taste sooo good!

LOL thanks girls. Seriously I've never made them, I always just buy the fresh ones at the local grocery store - they're just meat, no filler, sooo good. But, not an option tonight.

I ended up just making spaghetti for supper, lol...much easier!

You are not alone. I don't know if I have ever made one either. I get the frozen ones. And if I ever did make one I never knew about putting in all of the seasonings before making them by hand.

Thanks for asking the question because I've learned something too.

We like Lipton's onion soup burgers. The recipe is on the onion soup mix box, and it's super simple...just ground meat, soup mix, and water.

Seriously, if you have never made a hamburger patty, go with Meghan's...much easier! The important thing is to shape them well so that they hold together. Don't feel bad, I save the hamburgers to my parents or my boyfriend- they are not as easy to make as people think!
