Weight Watchers anyone???
I did WW after my sencond baby and did quite well on their "point" program. After just having baby #3 I NEED to lose weight. 60 pounds would put me lower than I think I've ever been but 30 gets me to my pre-baby weight. Anyway, I think I want to try to "Core" program because I have no time for tracking point. I cannot afford to join the program at this time, but thankfully I still have my books.
Anyway, a few questions.... 1-I know the core program gives you 35 flex points, can you still earn point by working out? 2-Anyone else tried the core program...any sucess? 3-are oats/plain oatmeal core foods? I can't seem to figure it out Last edited by tkelley; 01-06-2010 at 10:56 PM. |

Hey Tara. I just rejoined today. Yes, you get the 35 pts. and you can earn pts with exercise. It's now called the Momentum program and it's more flexible than ever, and my mom has lost over 40 pounds with it. If you have any questions, let me know.

I rejoined this week. I had success after baby 1 too so I'm trying it again. I'm doing the online thing and mostly just tracking my points right now.

I am doing it online, but tracking points. I am a picky eater so I cannot do the Momentum thing. I have lost 26 pounds since late August. 15 more to go to be where I want to be, but 25 would put me at my ideal weight for my height in the military.

I just rejoined too! I did WW a couple of years ago and lost a decent amount and finally am doing it again. My son will be a year old soon and I have got to get rid of this extra weight!
I am loving the new iphone app to track my points so far! |

I've only done it online. It works for me. I'm trying to get used to it now though. They have definitely made lots of changes to the website and there seem to be a lot of nice features added.

Do you have to be a WW member to get the Iphone App? Cause it sounds like something I would totally use.

I rejoined too...I actually lost weight on WW before I had my son who is 5 years old and I'm still trying to lose the baby weight...

The app is free but you will not be able to actually track your points with it unless you are a WW member. You can see a few things like featured recipes before you log in.

There's an app for WW? OMG! That's hilarious. Maybe I do want an iPhone!
I did WW online before DS was born and had great success. I've been a paying member for over a year now and can't find the motivation to use it. |

it's actually pretty helpful...esp to track points while you are out or um..snacking at the computer haha

I've done WW successfully a few times (it's the times I'm not following the program that's the problem). This past Summer I lost 25 pounds (and kept it off over the holidays). I used this forum called Bootcamp Buddies to help me. It's free and it's for people who do WW only. It worked really well for me to have some kind of support and you can be as active as you want to be, plus there is lots of great ideas on the forum.

The iFigure app is pretty decent... it has a calculator to figure points (although they call them "items" to avoid getting in trouble with WW) Also a database which has common foods... and you can add your own favorites. There is no place to chart weight loss... which would be nice... but it's only $1.99...
