Default Swimming suit?

Where do you ladies get your swimming suit?!
I have been trying to find a decent swimming suit for myself without much luck this summer I've tried a few and they really don't look nice on me, especially post-pregnancy
I am not comfortable enough in bikini or anything too flattering. So, if you ladies have any input as to where to find some nice and not too revealing swimming suit, that would be awesome!

I bought one at JCPenney's like 5 years ago and just keep wearing that one. It's way too hard to find out especially if you aren't skinny and have boobs.

Try Lime Ricki. They are online and have modest, flattering swimsuits. Not sure if they ship to China, though... You might want to check on that.

I'd rather have a root canal than go swimsuit shopping! I'm really short waisted, so one pieces are never an option for me. I've had good luck with most Tankini type suits, and prefer it when I can buy the top and bottom separately. I bought this printed top and these skirtini bottoms from Kohl's this year and have really loved them. I think both pieces flatter/hide everything [that hasn't quite "bounced back" after my last baby] quite nicely, and they both fit great [the shoulder straps don't dig in and the bottoms don't crawl up]. Good luck on your quest, Sherly!

I always get mine from Lands End... I have some suits that are 6 years old and I'm still wearing them... and I was swimming 3-4 times a week...

Mine are all from Hapari. i prefer tankini styles & their tops are really long. they can get expensive but i always wait for sales...also not sure if they ship to China...

My favorite top has underwire & i feel the most support when I wear it.

Exactly :/
The boobs part annoys me a lot actually. I tried buying a tankini before and while it looked great when I tried it on, when I was actually swimming, my girls were all over the place and it became short and so my tummy 'fell' out. Gah! It's horrific!
I hate swimming suit shopping!
I'll see those suggestions tomorrow, thanks, ladies.

If there's any others, please do share.

I like Victoria's Secret since you can buy tops which have band/cup sizes. I also have also purchased suits from Athleta (on sale, since they can be pricey). I will have to check out http://www.limericki.com, I haven't heard of them before.

I have the worst luck finding swim suits because my boobs are big and apparently only very large women have massive boobs, so all the swimsuits that fit my boobs hang on me everywhere else. I did randomly find a swimsuit that fits alright at walmart last year. I searched every store and finally found one there, so random, haha

You should try Victoria's Secret, you can order separates with band/cup sizes. They have good sales, so they are pretty reasonable. Some of their stores sell suits, so you can try them on for size if you don't want to order online ... you can also return online purchases in their stores, so you don't have to pay return shipping if you want to order multiple sizes to try for fit.

Another fan of Lime Ricki! I just ordered my 5th suit from them during their 50% off sale a few days ago. Their sizing does run small though. I have one from last year with underwire from them. I think they have a halter style this year with underwire too.

I was so happy I found one on clearance at Target this year. It has tummy control & polka dots. Not a lot of boob support though, that is tricky in the land of DDs.

I found some cute ones on Lime Ricki! Look at this tankini:

Do you think it'll be a good match with a skirtini? Or a boys short?

I've looked through Victoria Secret. I don't think they're for me... too revealing :/

I'd go with the boy shorts with that top. I'm not sure the skirt would look good with the peplum.

No skirt with that top. It's super cute though! I also have great luck with Hapari!

I have a suit that is in this same style and I love mine. I am kinda busty (D girl over here) but this holds me up pretty well. It is a little cleavy with my girls, but I love the side ruching because it helps hide my problem areas and it's long enough that if I only ruch it slightly, it can't cover my behind as well. Super cute suit!!

I would say the boy shorts! But, just to warn you... Their sizes run small. If you carry your weight in your bottom or have wide hips I would go up one size for the boy shorts. Mine are large and they are too small for me. I wear size 8-12 jeans depending on the brand.

I get all mine at Bravissimo, they ship internationally and specialise in big boobs. Mine are huge for my body size, too, and before I discovered Bravissimo I was pretty desperate.

I have a swim dress. I feel so much more confident in it than any other swim style. Not sure where you'd get one from, but just google swim dress images and a ton come up.

I'm another that really likes Lime Ricki, especially for my girls. Sign up for their mailing list, I've never paid full price.

Wow, there are all great suggestions here. I have almost no boobs left thanks to nursing three kids and being small to begin with so finding a flattering bathing suit is near impossible. Plus, I hate suit bottoms that ride lol. I truly miss the two awesome bathing suits I had when I was fresh out of high school. Tankini's and boy shorts were pretty new to the scene then and I had two suits that were both comfy and somewhat flattering. There are some nice ones here but does anyone know where I can find something a little less expensive? I can't justify spending $60+ dollars on a swimsuit for myself. Right now I just wear what I have and wear a t-shirt and bike shorts over them but I know I look ridiculous lol.

I use Land's End... and Cyberswim. I have a large chest - ugh - I buy based on bra size. Once I have that, then the rest is easy for me. The suits can be expensive when I purchase, but last a long time. At least 7 years, so I feel like I get my money's worth!

Here is a Cyberswim Top.... I have a previous print, but the exact same style - and I would pair it pry with a black or navy skirted bottom from Land's End. More expensive, but I get the most compliments on the suit/pattern I have, and most people as where I got it from. It hold everything in nicely, and smooths it all out, lol!
http://www.cyberswim.com/miraclesuit...le-lagoon.html

Here is another that I have that I can buy cup size and use a skirted bottom. A little less expensive.
http://www.landsend.com/products/wom...-top/id_261056

Both ship internationally - but I have no clue if the prices are good!

Good Luck Sherly!

Lands End! I bought a swim tee with a cute little skirt. I love it because I don't feel like I'm going to get totally fried by the sun!

Thanks for the warning. I do wear 10-12 jeans. I was thinking to get a Large shorts, would that be too small for me? I am planning to get the XL top, after reading their size chart. Now you make me think whether I should get the 2XL one or not....

---
I love swim dress too. I have always worn the one-piece suit all, but lately, it's really hard to find something with a skirt long enough or the top part that doesn't show cleavage...

I would consider myself to be blessed in the rear... Haha. And the Large boy shorts fit me, I can wear them, but it's a squeeze. LOL. They have a cuff at the bottom of the legs (which is the awesome thing about them, they don't shift or crawl up)... And the cuff actually cuts off my butt in the back which is unflattering. The next suit I buy from them I will get XL boy shorts. I'd rather have them a little too big then too small. Did you take your measurements? Check them against their sizing chart and go one size up from what they suggest. I'm not sure about 2XL if you are in 10-12 jeans, that seems like it would be too big.

Yeah I measured myself against their measurement. For the top, I was inbetween L and XL, so I thought I'd get an XL instead. As to the shorts, I'll probably get XL as well, just in case. I don't want to have to ship back to US, it'll cost me a fortune Or, I might consider finding a suit shorts here in China. I'll have to check first whether they have them here.

I just got my suit today, so I thought I'd chime in on this year's sizing. Their size chart put me exactly in a large in both the top and bottoms. I have a 35" bust and 40" hips across the fullest part of my booty. I ordered a large in both the top and bottom and they are a perfect fit! I'd go with the size chart! I ordered the peplum top in a different print than yours and the boy shorts. Hope that helps (if you haven't already ordered)!

Thank you so much, Megan! This helps a lot! My hips measurement is exactly like yours, but my bust is 38". It makes it much easier to decide which size to get! Thanks again!
