Default Pushing Daisies and Pete's Dragon tonight

Did anyone watch tonight's Pushing Daisies and get the Pete's Dragon references?

I was watching and listening to the names and was, like, "HOLY CRAP, THAT'S FROM PETE'S DRAGON!!"

The lighthouse keeper was Nora Maquoddie.... in the movie the lighthouse keeper was Nora and lived in Passamaquoddie...
Her husband who was lost at sea in both the show and the movie tonight was Merle...
their kid was Elliot.... obviously... the Dragon's name...
I haven't finished watching it yet, it only came on 15 minutes ago but wondered if anyone else saw the correlation!!

I see nobody watched it or nobody cared... but I finally found the link between the two! Jim Dale!! (duh!) He played one of the main characters in Pete's Dragon (the con artist) and he's the narrator on Pushing Daisies! (You might also know him as the narrator from the Harry Potter books if you get these on CD, they're fabulous)

That's really cool that the show made references to Pete's Dragon!

Bryn...I watched it last night, but I am ashamed to say that I didn't catch all that. It is very cool though, the show often does things like that. I am still laughing over the raincoats Olive got all of them.

It's not one of the shows I watch, but I love Pete's Dragon.
