Default Desert Kits

Show me kits great for scrapping all the brown of the desert. I have tons of pics from Red Rock Canyon and the Grand Canyon.

I have this one by Yari, but would really love to see some additional recommendations! TIA!

I have most of those kits and they're great for outdoor photos but definitely not the type of desert-type places of the southwest - there's not a heck of a lot of foliage for one thing - LOL, and the colors are unique.

I think i need to take a desert trip (in the winter..) so get some inspiration. I wonder if the entire trip could be considered business related and write it all off. I NEED to be there in person to get the right inspiration

Great idea Kristin Definitely during this time of year - I'd love to leave the cold behind right now too!

haha I mostly would want to go in the winter so that I don't drop dead from the heat there in the summer. LOL!

It was in the 40s and 50s when we were there this past weekend. It does snow in the higher elevations, so plan your winter trip accordingly. I posted some pics on FB, Kristin, so you can feel free to get started on that kit any time now... lol

Very true! I've been to Bryce Canyon in July before and it got down into the 30s at night! And the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is closed in the winter.

Many of those will work to mix and match, Jacinda! The colors are very unique out West... various shades of brown, mostly. LOL

I'm doing a trip to Central Australia in July, which is very arid... lots of reds and browns + dry yellow grasses, lots of rocks... so I would LOVE a desert kit as well! The only thing I have that is remotely close is Yari's kit above, except for the vegetation - no cactus. I need spinifex grass, gum trees...

This one from Misty is sort of OK too:

BTW, I have all but two of the kits previewed above - seems I can't help myself when it comes to outdoorsy kits!!

Yes! Yes! Yes! More desert kits!

And KCB, you may come visit anytime! (Well, until August, then we move again...)

I know Cheri of Dream Big Designs had a desert kit called "Desert Spirit". I don't know if/when she is planning on releasing it here though...

I'm raising my hand for a desert kit as well. I work at Zion National Park and have a million pictures.

I'd love to make a desert-inspired kit. I love cacti! I'm imagining all the fun elements I could make. Maybe I can scoop it with someone.

I am planning to use a lot of the Great Outdoors kits from KCB for our pictures in the state parks of Utah last year.

Oh, I have 2 desert kits (reeleases) that are coming to the shop this summer. But then you will probably be done with scrapping your trip by then. If you really want them, I can add them to the shop this next month.

I LOVE making Desert Kits. I grew up in Portland Oregon, but now I live in the deserts of Utah. My parents are in St George (which is REALLY the desert.) They have a huge red rock cliff in their back yard.

Love the St. George area - been there several times! I have so many photos of the southwest that I won't be done for years

Oh, I have tons of pictures from Utah and some from Garden of the Gods, would love some more desert kits. And am very thankful for the sale, because I am picking up a bunch of the kits that were mentioned earlier in the thread.
