Default Converting psd/tiff template

So I've been trying to figure out a way to use the calendar templates this week. I can only use the individual png layers. I' was wondering how designers make the png layers , why do some include them while others don't (I am just curious) and is there a way to do that like I convert my png to pdf, jpg etc?

I use some automatic actions when I want to save my psd/tiff into png layers. Without it, I think it's just a tedious process of saving layers one by one as png file. As to why some designers don't do it, I think you can always approach the designer privately and ask whether she'll be able to provide you png files. I hope that helps.

^^^ That explains why some designers may not do it.

This is why I asked. I've never used photo shop so while I can do the "basic 1+1=2" y'all are on advanced algebra haha. I don't even quite know how actions work although I have a general idea. So the whole actual design part is rocket science in another language to me

Well action (specifically used in Photoshop) is basically made by someone, clever enough, who records the mechanism of saving of each layer of the layout into a single click program that will work on any layout no matter how many layers there is to it.

It is a very tedious process, especially if you have lots of layers, if you don't have the tools to do a batch file or have an action that will do it for you.

I would contact Janet and ask if she can offer her template in PNG. Before I included PNGS I honestly never even realized that some people couldn't scrap without them! I'm glad several people contacted me to requset them.
