Over. If it isn't, I'll take it off and fix it. I don't care where I am.

Totally over and I too will fix it if it is wrong. And what is with people being too lazy to put the toilet paper on the roller? I hate that! It takes all of 10 seconds to do, but my son and mom just put it on the vanity instead and I have to go in there and put it on the roller for them. Drives me crazy!

Definitely over. I hate when Tim or the boys put it on and it is under because they just don't care what way it goes.

Does it make you want to smack him? Cause I want to smack my mom and kid, but I may have violent tendencies.

I don't really care either way. I'm just glad to be able to put it in the toilet. When we lived in Ecuador, it had to be put in a garbage can because the plumbing in most homes couldn't handle it.

I have no idea. I don't pay attention. I'm the only one who replaces the roll, to be sure, but I don't put it any certain way. They're prolly over and under in different bathrooms up in here. *ducks*

Under, when it's on the roll. We never used the rollers in our last house because they weren't securely placed into the walls. So, counters sufficed. In this house--under, all the way. I will change it.

Over. If it's not I get totally lost and roll it around like 5 times unable to find the end, so then I switch it and find the end right away. It's sooo much easier to roll it toward you than away from you. Seriously.

I like "over" but I'm just happy my hubby thought to replace the roll instead of getting a roll out and leaving it on my counter, grrrr!!!!

Ditto!!!! I finally got DH trained and then my son started doing it! I tried so hard not to make a big scene out of the fact he had started changing the toilet roll all by himself! But then I realized he was changing it because he was using up a couple yards of paper each time!

I'm gonna be the odd ball and say under. When it's over, cats and little ones can unravel it too easily (i know this from experience. LOL). BUT since we haven't had sheetrock in our bathroom for 2 years now, we haven't had a holder to put TP on. At this point, having TP over would mean that our bathroom was finished, and I could be on board with that either way. LOL

I hate scratching my fingernails against the wall to get at TP that is under, so our household is 100% over!

Libby is so right in that when it is over it is too easy to unravel. We have dogs, cats and rabbits that all find it fun to unravel toilet paper.

That said, I don't have a preference either way. I won't change it around. I don't really even notice which way it is turned. I take about 2.3 seconds in the bathroom and toilet paper is the farthest from my mind, provided there IS some. Obviously if there is not it comes to mind quite quickly. LOL

I always find myself laughing when people start debating toilet paper. My friend's MIL would throw a fit and make a big deal if the TP wasn't on the holder in a particular fashion when she visited my friend. It caused huge fights between them. I mean, seriously, arguing over toilet tissue??

Over for me, too. Most definitely. My husband thinks he's cute and teases me by putting it under, but he runs back there with his tail between his legs when it pi$$es me off. TP ain't nuthin' to play with.

I can't stand the thought of my toilet paper dragging against the wall as I unravel it. The whole germ thing gets to me I guess, LOL!

Ha ha!! This whole conversation is hillarious.
I say over too.
But I see the arguement about it being easier to unravel for the toddlers/pets. Just close the door and put the TP the right way. LOL

In this house - OVER! I worked for the makers of Cottonelle and Scott and my hubby designed the machines that make toilet paper... so, for us it has to be over - but my hubby gets so excited when he goes into a public restroom and they have TP form a machine he designed and it was nicknamed the Kuchenwinder...

Here is engineering reasoning and fun facts...

this. Ours is almost always on the back of the toilet. My son seriously wastes toilet paper. And the dogs take the roll and run it through the house if we leave the door open.
