30 Days of Thanks-November 14th
Today I am thankful for my little community. A well known hockey coach and local man has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. Their friends came together to hold a benefit for him and his family, the donations from local businesses with regard to raffle prizes, food, parking and so much more has been unbelievable. The amount of people who came is a testament to the people they are.
You could see it in his eyes as he made a point of coming round to see my son, you knew how much it meant to him to see his former players. My son got choked up on the way home as he said ‘mom, I’m glad I got a few minutes to talk with Coach Ron’.

Our entire region (and most of the country) has been downgraded for COVID risk, so hopefully well see less travel restrictions and more sectors opening up.

Today I'm thankful that I got to see my friend and our kids were able to play together at the park. We started doing weekly Sunday morning playdates but it had been a while since we got sick, then they traveled and also got sick.

Today I am thankful for a day of rest. It seems like I live my life at a dead run most of the time, so I am glad I took some time today to just be.
