Default Old gems in your stash

I was just going through my digiscrap supplies (read: procrastinating) and came across some oooold but yummy SSD goodies there. Remember them? Do you have some beloved oldies in your stash, too?

From Christy Lyle:

Or these two from Zoe:

Or this collab from Christy and Robin:

I haven't been here long enough to have stuff from then but I am so pleased that you don't throw them away. All the people that post about deleting loads of stuff scare me

I wouldn't call going through your stash procrastinating! With all the stuff that we have, it's quite useful to browse through the items from time to time. I do that when tagging older items and I tend to discover gems as well. :-)

I recently used this one (again) and it's still beautiful (and I'm happy to see it's still in the shoppe, it's such a great kit):

And thanks for this thread, it's a cool idea to do a bit of promo for the older ones. :-)

I think I literally *gasped!* when I first read a thread here and the ladies were talking about how they delete their stash often! Part of me was like whoaaaaaaa.... whyyyyy would ya? The other part of me was quite impressed and a little jealous that they have the guts to do it!!
LOL!! :-)

I've deleted but not with an easy heart

I haven't been digi scrapping for long enough to have old gems like that, or that I kept on my HD. I do have some old CT kits but none of the designers here at SSD. Can't wait to see what you other ladies can share

I have tons of older kits. I delete occasionally but keep everything I delete on my external hard drive and on backblaze as well. There are a few designers who I find it almost impossible to delete anything from. I still have a collection from Traci that I bought back in 2007.

Oh yes, I'm quite a deleter myself but some of the old kits just can't be deleted. It's like when you can't purge and old beloved t-shirt.

I have sooooo many old kits on my EHD, I can't EVER delete them! lol... I'm not a purger by any means... I do however go through and delete things that have been recolored many times, like solid papers- I only keep one version since I can just recolor it to whatever color I want and delete the others... or if there's the same string or ribbon recolored a few colors, I keep only one.. If it's a very themed kit and I've used some of the elements I may delete those but I keep the rest. I'm a digi-hoarder. There needs to be a support group for people like me!!! LOL.

I have done some deleting, but it was mostly freebies and kits from another shop that I discovered when I first started digi scrapping because they just didn't suit me anymore and I knew I wouldn't use them. I have not done any deleting in my SSD folder and doubt I will.

Rumble in the Jungle is still one of my favorites!

This was the free with purchase from opening weekend, I believe:

This was from the first iNSD at the Sweet Shoppe:

And I still remember Zoe choosing my layout with this kit as a standout:

I have loved her for so long. : )

Yep! I still have the Miss Betty Alpha, and loved Rumble in the Jungle!

I don't have this preview of the kit, but does anyone remember KCB & Traci's collab called "Upper East Side"? I held on to that kit for a long time... Here's a LO I did with it, with a "sketch" by Karen Wong (which might have been a template? not really sure.)

(Wow, date on this upload was December 2007... huh? How did THAT happen?)

This was the first kit I bought at SSD and I used it about a hundred times.

I don't delete so I actually have tons and tons of old ones I could share.

Yes!!! Rumble in the Jungle NEEDDSS to be remade! I NNEEDDDDD it!!!! My 2 year old is obsessed with jungle animals because she LOVES the Madagascar movies, so in honor of the third Madagascar movie coming out in a few weeks, there needs to be a Rumble in the Jungle remake!!!! But it HAS to have a hippo along with the lion, giraffe, and zibra. Throw in some monkeys and penguins and it would be perfect!! Did I mention I NNNEEEDDDD this kit and a remake of it?!?!?!!

This is a fitting thread since I spent 4 hours re-organizing and purging my digi scrap stuff yesterday. I think I deleted over 15GB of stuff. NONE of it was from Sweet Shoppe! That is all tucked away in its own folder...far from the delete button. LOL

I need to seriously do this. I refuse to delete from my SSD folder. That's just not going to happen.

I lost all my old files in a HD crash but I'm pretty sure my first purchase contained one of the wordart sets by Mandabean.

The first one after the shop lost its data was 'Fun for Me' by Zoe.

And for my last purchase, I used the $10 coupon I won from Meg and I bought these two pretties of hers:

YES!!!! Put it on the sooner list for sure! She's coming on Wednesday, you know, but no rush, I'm sure I won't even feel like scrapping till next week or so... ; )

I almost did the same a minute ago. :-)

I'm procrastinating a bit and going through my old purchase history, and I found this one that I loved then and love now (and only used it this year - one of the reasons why I don't delete much, I'm *so* not a chronological scrapper):

This is one of my favorite kits of all time! Obviously for the zebra and pink.

I'd love to see a remake of it with more stuff and maybe teals and pinks and purples with the zebra.

*cough cough* Zoe.
