Default I'm finally going to do it and need you help!!

Pretty please... I have decided to buy the Canon EOS Rebel T2i (body only) and need help choosing a lens. I have never used a dSLR before (other than holding it in my hands at the store). I mostly take pictures of my kids here in the house or out in the yard (they're always moving). My options are the Canon Normal EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Autofocus Lens OR the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM Autofocus Lens. Which one should I pick, please help.

I've voted the 30mm. I have 50mm prime and in the house I sometimes have too little space for shooting with it the way I want to. I guess the 30mm would work better for this.

I have both of those and the 30 mm has rarely left my camera since I got it. I just love the wider angle that it gives me.

My thoughts are the same, I love the 50 we have, but it's too tight inside! I'd go with the 30.

I have a 30 mm, and the 50 would be way too tight in my house.

I voted for the 30mm. I just got a 50mm, and agree, it's a little tight inside.
