My 9yo does but I have all channels apart from a few cartoon channels blocked and he doesn't know the password. He rarely uses it though as he's always playing with his friends and it's not allowed on after a certain time, especially school nights!

No TV in our house. I don't think they would ever sleep.

I said no, but then I remembered that they do, they just don't use them for anything.

The girls share a room (ages 8 and 6), and though they have a tv in their room, it is not hooked up to satellite or anything else. They have it in there to play their old school N64, and that's it. They hardly ever play it. Benjamin is 10, and also has a tv in his room. It's also not hooked up to the satellite, and used only for Game Cube, which he never plays. I don't know why I bothered to put those tvs in there LOL

They do not watch tv in their room (it's not hooked up to anything for them to watch), they do not have it on at night. Tony and I don't even have a tv in our room! We just take turns on our family tv that's in the living room. Our Wii is also hooked up to our family room tv, so they do have to learn to share and take turns if everyone gets to watch/play what they want. It works for us!

My almost 6 year old doesn't have a tv in his room, and my almost 2 year old definitely doesn't. I never had one in my room as a kid, until I was at least 12 or 13.

Mine are 5 and 7 and they have a tv in their room. It's not hooked up to our cable (and it won't ever be), but they do have their own playstation in there, and it has a built in DVD player. Really it doesn't get used too often. They might play video games on it if it's the weekend and John's watching sports or playing Black Ops, and if they're home on Friday or Saturday night they are allowed to watch a movie at bedtime, but that's about it.

Now what we won't allow is cable on it, or computers in their room, or phones in their room.

No TVs and no computers, not now, not ever. Those are activities for the family room only.

We do have a second tv in our bedroom but it only gets watched during football season. I'm not a fan of football so I watch my Sat & Sun night programs (and Mon & Thurs & sometimes Wed...stupid football) in there while the males watch the game in the living room. I also watch it when they are all off camping. I like to lay in bed, eat chocolate & watch Firefly.

We have an assortment of sleep issues in this house & keep electronics out of bedrooms as a result

None of my kids have a TV in their room. DH and I have talked about getting a TV for Troys room but we know he is no where near ready for one yet.

No TV here, but my son is only 3 yrs old. He has always been good at going to bed at night, he's a good sleeper, thankfully!

Landon doesn't have one in his room. He is 6. When we move to our new house (July 8th) there will be a playroom with a TV in it for the kids.

My oldest son, when he was home.....he got a TV in his room when he was 15. Mainly he played his xbox on it but he always fell asleep with it on. It drove me crazy but I was glad he had his "space" when he needed it.

I am thinking that Landon won't ever have one in his room because there will be that extra room where one is available to him. The TV staying on drove me crazy with the oldest so I don't think I will go that route again.

Before the girls moved into the same room, Libby had one in her room...it only had a DVD player hooked up to it, so she only watched it during quiet/nap time. Once they started sharing rooms, we took the TV out and had no problems...

My kids have a TV, it's in my son's room and isn't hooked up to get any channels haha. It's for his Xbox and for her to watch an occasional DVD. I think he can maybe get the local news channels and PBS with the built in transmitter thing.

No TV here either! The boys are only 2 & 4. If they ever did have one, it would only be hooked up to a dvd player, no cable. Dylan(4) has asked for one because he has seen that his cousins have one in their room, but since we said no he hasn't asked again. When they get older, like 10+ we might consider it.
