Need help- want to PS my daughter into a Santa pic...
It's a lost cause... my 5 year old daughter STILL is terrified of Santa. BUT I got a GREAT pic of my son with Santa (or should I say the elves with the nice camera did). I've been playing with it and have her extracted from another picture with my crappy point-and-shoot (there's a little light feathering halo around her that I'll get rid of)
But I can't get her skin tone to look right (you know since she was 15 feet away and hiding behind her daddy when we got the pic!) I think it'd be funny to have a pic of her with Santa for the grandmas- they know she won't go near him, but I still want it to "look real". Any ideas on how to improve the skin tone to match? I'd be so grateful!!! I use PS5- or I can send someone a tiff if they want to try. Thanks!

You could try using an adjustment layer with a sepia photo filter on just the layer with your daugher.

Go to Hue & Saturation and choose magenta from the drop down. Adjust the saturation on the magenta to see if that helps.
You might also want to run a warming action on her before you add her in.

I say just use the pic with her terrified.. LOL. if she is scared she is scared. i'm sure she will get a laugh out of it when she is older.

This is what I have done in the past. He's crying, but whatever. It happens.

I WISH I'd have had my camera on me to get a pic of her hiding behind her daddy- it would have been hilarious! For example- we went with a friend to Six Flags and I took my son up to take a picture with Taz and Sylvester costumed characters. THIS was her reaction to Tweety bird (yes tweety bird) She was HIDING behind my friend!
I've given up on photoshopping her in I think... but now I know no Disney for at least another year- it would terrify her too!

I would use your color picker to select your son's skin tone. Then use a very soft, fuzzy brush to paint lightly (like 12%) over her skin. Do it on a separate layer so you can erase back any areas that don't look right (e.g., eyes).

just a suggestion but when my kids were scared of Santa they would take the picture with him if I went up with them. I was in the picture as well but they were not scared then. I dont have any suggestions on how to photoshop her in the photo you have though
