I love Korean food too! I'm lucky I live in San Diego now and there's Korean food. I just love the little side-dishes they bring, the kimchee, the pickled cucumbers, tofu... I better go this weekend!

la, you would love it. they actually have TONS of veggie side dishes that make a whole meal on their own. yummmmmy!!!! they also have this dish called bi bim bop, it comes out in a hot pot and it's filled with rice, steamed spinach, mushrooms (a special yummy kind), carrots...etc etc...anyways all these yummy veggies, then it's topped with a fried egg and you pour this spicy (soy)bean paste over it called 'gochu jang'.

korean food gets a bad rap cause people associate it with 'fermented' things. it really is super flavorful and delish! yummo!

I'm with Mimi, Korean food is definitely not high on my list of fave foods which made living there a bit difficult. My DH likes it though. By far the worst thing we encountered in Korea was Peanut Butter Fried Squid at a theme park. Just the smell of it was gag-inducing.

I haven't eaten much (if any) authentic Korean food before, but I love food from other countries as well, so I would probably like the non-sea food stuff. One of my good friends that I have known since I was a little girl is Cambodian and hanging out in her house w/ her mom's cooking was a HUGE highlight of growing up years

whoa, that is all kinds of wrong.

When my sister and I visited Korea many years ago, my sister had such a hard time with the food. By day 5 or so she was begging for American food.

I am somewhat of a picky eater. Korean food has too many weird, unidentifiable things in it. plus too many tiny fishies.

It was a cruel trick of the universe that made my Korean-food-loving DH marry a Korean girl who can't cook Korean food.

Some Korean food is OK. I guess.

I will try anything once...I however have had a really hard time eating any type of foreign food after my husband and I were in a chinese food restaurant and I heard what sounded like someone slaughtering a cat. All you heard was this blood curdling yowl that was unmistakenly cat. I went to the manager and asked what the heck was going on in the kitchen and he denied there was a cat then I said well I heard it when I was in the bathroom and the kitchen is just on the other side of that wall so he says oh one of the workers must have chased a cat out of the kitchen. NOOOOO WAYYY they did something to that cat. Now I dont know what they did but you could tell he was hurt. I might be missing out on a whole lot of yummy foods but everytime I try to eat anything that even remotely resembles chinese food I think of that day and I feel very sick.
